The college is absolutely the best for students who want to study technology.
Placements: Our college has maintained a 90% placement rate, reflecting strong academic and industry focused training. The highest package is 90 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average stands at 12 LPA, showing a solid career start for most students. Top recruiters include Microsoft, PhonePe, Cognizant, Deloitte, Infosys, Dell, Aveva, and Being. Most students are placed in Software Engineer roles, highlighting the college's strong programming and technical foundation. The curriculum focuses on industry-relevant skills like software development and problem-solving, with regular placement training to prepare students for interviews and real-world challenges.
Infrastructure: Our campus offers a vibrant and supportive environment for overall growth. With 24-hour Wi-Fi, students can study and work anytime. The newly built, spacious library is rich with books and digital resources, providing a perfect study atmosphere. Each department now has separate buildings, enhancing academic focus and accessibility. The addition of RV University nearby adds to the institution's prestige. Sports are equally encouraged with well-maintained grounds and facilities for cricket, football, basketball, and indoor games. Regular tournaments and sports events promote fitness and team spirit. The campus truly balances academic excellence with personal and physical development.
Faculty: The teachers here are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and always ready to help students understand concepts clearly. Every semester includes at least one project, which helps students apply what they've learned and get a feel for real-world company projects. There are also skill labs and workshops that train students in hands-on technical skills, making them industry-ready. When it comes to exams, the difficulty level is moderate. If students stay attentive in class and do a quick revision, even a night's study is usually enough to pass. The focus is more on learning and applying concepts than just memorizing.
Other: 8th Mile will also happen every 2 years, it's a big fest. Canada Habba will happen where they organize different cultural activities.

My review of this college
Placements: Placements and job opportunities are out of this world. That can be one of the biggest driving forces for a student to join this college. RVCE is a brand, and every year, more than 100 companies visit the campus to hire resources. Internships and jobs are available, and the reason these students got placed was that they actually had some relevant skills and showed up in interviews conducted during campus drives. Good companies like L&T, Tech Mahindra, Geodesic, TCS, Infosys, Amazon, HDFC, ICICI, etc., were the top recruiters. The minimum package is from 3.5 LPA, and the maximum is 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostel life is awesome. A very large area is occupied by the hostel in the college, with rooms having the required furniture, Wi-Fi, canteen, and mess (not compulsory). Students can move anywhere on campus 24Γ—7. All festivals are celebrated in the hostels. Full freedom is given to students for good activities.
Faculty: Faculty are highly qualified and expect a lot of high-level thinking from the students. Every student is required to complete one project per semester, which is a non-academic project. These projects need to be done following software development life cycle techniques. Every semester, in every course, there are at least two labs a week, and they are conducted strictly according to the timetable. Exams called Internals are conducted in the second, third, and fourth months of every semester, and the semester end exams are conducted at the end.

Overall RVCE is good in terms of placement and studies.
Placements: As of my branch, EEE 85% of my seniors are nearly placed with the highest package being 31 LPA the lowest being 6 LPA and the average being around 12 to 12.5 LPA. As for other electronic branches, nearly 80% of students are placed with the highest being 41.1 LPA. The lowest is 5 LPA and the average is 14 LPA. As for computer branches, nearly 70% of students are placed (the percentage being low is due to high intake) the average package is 15 LPA the highest is around 90 LPA and the lowest is 6 - 4 LPA as an entire college has the highest package of 90 LPA. The average package is 13 LPA.
Infrastructure: Since the colleges are under construction nearly 30% of the colleges are inaccessible due to construction. The playground has become the parking area due to which sports can't be played where the lab and classrooms are well maintained and have a digital board due to now is your cooler you might feel hot in summertime. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is good as compared to the other colleges so in the food area you won't have many complaints.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders and others are pursuing to get their Ph.D. They are well qualified due to so many Ph.D. holders. Many companies come to collaborate with professionals and other teachers and give them projects then the professors and other teachers choose the students to work with them on the project so the opportunities here are good. The curriculum is the same as that of the other colleges so it's not that different. Semester exams are not that difficult but still, you have to study well to score well.
Other: One of the most shocks that I got after joining the college was that it's getting under-constructed and that here there is an EL thing which is experiential learning where you have to meet teams with your friends or other branch members. They have to work on a model or prototype that solves any world problem they take it very seriously. You will be awarded marks for this and this is as important as your internal marks so if you plan on coming to RV remember to make a team in the starting stages only.

Review of RVCE in mechanical department.
Placements: In the Mechanical department of RVCE, the placements start by the 6th semester. Right now I am in 6th semester so I am getting many opportunities for placements. The company here provides internships along with placements. The packages we get here range from 7 LPA to 12 LPA. So the placements are good here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my courses follows. We are provided with multiple options from which we can choose. Depending on the interest of the students, we are allowed to choose any of the courses. Talking about the hostel, the hostel fee is high compared to other colleges. But facilities like Wi-Fi, good rooms, and good food are available.
Faculty: Faculty members are very well qualified. They are as friendly as friends. They provide us the opportunity to work under them. We have an innovative club facility in college where we can be part of clubs related to the latest technology like f1 racing and many more. Along with this faculty members also get themselves involved in innovative clubs.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested. The best thing like the innovative club attracted me to take the RVCE. Things like campus infrastructure can be better. Because many of the buildings are very old and now they are being renovated. College hosts an event named 8th mile every 2 years. This event is almost 3 days with DJ nights, competitions, tech talks, and many more where we can enjoy a lot.

RVCE is the top college in Bangalore.
Placements: The batch size of the college is around 1,600. The highest package for 2024 placements is 92 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. The average package is 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Flipkart, Meesho, Zomato, Blinkit, and various startups visit the college for placements. The top role offered is SDE, and almost 56% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are really big and spacious. The whole campus has central Wi-Fi for students, and all the labs are well-equipped for even performing research. The library is newly inaugurated, wonderful, and the perfect place to study. The hostel facilities are good. The food served in the mess is moderate. Sports facilities are moderate as well.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and well-qualified for their roles. The course curriculum is industry-related. Semester exams are not very difficult, and the pass percentage is good since a lot of people pass because of experiential learning.
Other: I chose this course because I have a keen interest in it. The best thing about this course is that the faculty members are very good and helpful. Fest is organised every two years. There are various scholarships for KCET students.
