One of the best engineering colleges in Bangalore with good faculty, facilities and placements.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students who sat for placements were placed. The highest package was around 90 lpa, the lowest was around 4 lpa, and the average was around 10 lpa. All major core and tech companies come here for internship opportunities; the college provides internships for the ones who are interested in its in-house center of excellence and competencies.
Infrastructure: High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the department, ensuring connectivity for academic and research purposes. Access is granted to students and staff. The department has good labs such as the microcontroller lab, digital communications lab, digital VLSI design lab, etc. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards, whiteboards, and projectors as well. The library is decent with almost all the necessary books. Note that a new library is being opened in the month of December 2024. Hostel facilities are decent, with good food and decent accommodation.
Faculty: Faculty members are very well experienced, and their teaching is very good. They are all very helpful; you can reach out to them regarding anything related to academics or careers, and they will guide you. The curriculum is well designed and very relevant to the industry needs; however, it is very essential for the students to also take up extra courses, such as NPTEL courses, to strengthen their knowledge. Exams are tough but can be cleared if studied; the pass percentage is roughly 85%.
Other: I choose this course as I am interested in electronics; also, it opens up opportunities for me in both core as well as software sectors, things that I think have the potential to improve the course, such as industry visits, seminars of professionals, company projects, etc. There are a few events in a year, but it's not the best in place. RV has good connectivity, and the alumni network and sports are highly encouraged here.

Perfect college for any student dreaming to be an engineer.
Placements: 80% of students were placed this year, and packages range from 11 LPA to 64 LPA. Top recruiters are Nvidia, Qualcomm, NXP, Texas Instruments, etc. 30% of students got internships in their 3rd year, and 100% got internships in their final year. Top roles are embedded system engineer, network engineer, software engineer, firmware engineer, VLSI design engineer, ASIC designer, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities: We have lift facilities in every department and in braille marking for the blind to recognize the stars and pathway. Properly ventilated classrooms with greenery around. Separate restrooms for different abilities and 24/7 surveillance for safety throughout the campus. Good medical facilities and many sports options available to engage. Don't know much about hostel food as I'm a day scholar. The library is pretty vast, with all kinds of books, proper Wi-Fi with a speed of 30 Mbps, and proper lab equipment, which are all new or perfectly maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and have very good knowledge about the domain. Teaching quality is 9/10; proper interactive sessions are being implemented. ECE is an evergreen domain; hence we can go to any domain. The difficulty level is not too high; it's manageable, and 40% is the passing percentage, which actually promotes us students to push ourselves further.
Other: I choose it out of my personal interest. The best thing about my course is we get to learn hardware, software, and firmware together in the ECE domain, which is like an all-rounder in being an engineer. Fests are really good, the crowd is normal, and it's nearby many facilities; for example, we have a direct metro connection to the college GATE itself, which is the best thing any college could have, which makes my college more unique than any other. Good scholarships are offered, and they promote extracurricular activities through making students earn points for every extracurricular activity they participate in.

RV College is one the best colleges which was ranked 99th as per NIRF rankings.
Placements: RV College has a very good placement rate. Almost all the students are getting placed. They provide a good training for placements. The highest package last year was 92 Lacs per annum. This year it is ongoing, as per now the highest package is 54 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: RV College has a good infrastructure, however it is not full highly developed as it is one of the oldest colleges in Bangalore. Hostel facilities are good. Classrooms are excellent they provide Wi-Fi. RVCE also has very good library where we enrich our knowledge. There are various sports clubs for physical training.
Faculty: RV College teachers are very helpful, highly qualified and experienced. They provide practical learning. They prepare us for industry requirements. However, the exams are tough.
Other: I chose Electronics and Communication because it is one of the most demanding courses today. We can learn both IT and core.

A great college with excellent placements.
Placements: Usually, 70–80% of the batch applied for placements gets placed. In my course, 125 out of 153 eligible candidates were placed in 2024. The highest package was 41 LPA by NVIDIA, the lowest was 4 LPA by LTMindtree and the average is around 14.7 LPA for ECE. The top recruiting companies are TI, NVIDIA, Intel, Cisco, HPE, Qualcomm, etc. 45–50% of people got internships in companies like TI, Fidelity Investment, Western Digital, Toyota, etc. The top roles offered are SWE, Design engineer, Hardware engineer, SRE, etc.
Infrastructure: ECE has its own separate depth building. The college Wi-Fi is available to every student. The classrooms are well-lit, well-ventilated and have blackboards as well as smart boards for an audio-video experience. Apart from the department library, there is another 3-story building for the library with hundreds of thousands of books. Each student can get a maximum of 6 book issues at a time. Other than that, you also get access to the digital library. The hostel is certainly above average but not that great either. You get double-sharing rooms for the first 3 years and single-sharing rooms in the final year. The mess is okayish but the food in the canteen is good. The campus has a clinic inside where you can get free consultations and dedication for minor health issues.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are PhDs with multiple publications and are well versed in their subjects. However, there are cases when some teachers aren't able to deliver properly. For some particular verticals like VLSI, ADDC, etc. Most of the teachers are exceptionally good. The syllabus of ECE is the best part of this course. You don't need to study anything extra; just follow the syllabus and you will be ready for interviews. There are 3 internals and one semester-end exam with easy to moderately difficult level. Each internal is organised at a gap of 4 weeks. Usually the pass percentage is 70–80% for a course.
Other: I was good with math and physics, so ECE was a perfect course for me as it requires a good amount of the two subjects. The best things about my course are the placement opportunities and the syllabus. The improvement can be made by making the course a little less hectic. Usually, you don't get much time for extra activities due to the academic pressure. Also, the academic calendar can be made a little more specific. There are two major festivals called the 8th Mile and the E-Summit. Apart from that, departmental festivals take place too but they aren't annual. The college is on the Mysore Road highway and is just in front of Pattanagare metro station so you get excellent bus and metro connectivity. You have a teaching park and Kengeri satellite town nearby.

One of the best college.
Placements: The highest package of our course is 80 LPA, the lowest is 40 LPA, and the minimum is about 60 LPA. And about 90 percent of them were placed in our course in the top companies like Wipro, FaQs, Infosys, etc. About 95 percent of students got internship.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with a with a free Wi-Fi facility, classrooms are well maintained, and in our college library there are many books that are helpful for us. In labs, too, every facility is their for us. In the hostel, they provide delicious food every day.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are well-versed, and they give us 100 percent knowledge. They not only teach us but also guide us on how to face all the situations. They are very kind. In our college semester, exams are held with all the rules set by VTU.

Well, it is important and recommended to write an entrance exam. However, through management quota you will be exempted from participating in the normal counselling process for obtaining a seat. So, you won’t really be competing for a seat through cut offs.
