RGIPT Amethi Admission 2026: Application Process, Eligibility, Courses & Fee

For admission to the RGIPT BTech programme, the institute accepts JEE Advanced scores. Candidates must have a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in Class 12 for JEE (Advanced) eligibility. 

RGIPT M.Tech in Chemical Engineering curriculum is divided into semester-pattern. Additionally, students are also required to work on the thesis. Candidates who get admission to the M.Tech in Chemical Engineering programme are required to study some of the following subjects mentioned below:

RGIPT fee structure for a two-year M.Tech programme is broken down into multiple components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee and one-time fee. Apart from the tuition fee of INR 40,000, candidates are required to pay the one-time fee of INR 16,000 which includes admission fee, alumni membership fee, student's welfare fund, thesis fees and caution money (refundable) and the hostel fee of INR 60,000.

GATE exam is conducted for Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (M.Tech) and direct Ph.D. admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other institutes or universities across India. It also opens the gateway to PSUs and the field of research. RGIPT allows admission without CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/CUET-PG score under two circumstances. First, you should be a company-sponsored candidate. Second, if you belong to part time registration category. You will still have to fulfil the remaining eligibility criteria. 

RGIPT M.Tech course admission 2024 is entirely entrance-based as the institute accepts the scores and rank obtained by candidates in the GATE or written test and/ or interview. Admission to the M.Tech programme can also be based on any combination of these as declared by the individual department.

RGIPT M.Tech admission 2024 is entrance-based. Given below is the detailed RGIPT M.Tech admission process:

STEP 1: Application Process

Fill out the online application form available on the RGIPT website. In the online application form, candidates must provide their personal phone number and email ID and must pay the non-refundable application fees of INR 500 (for General and OBC candidates) and, INR 250 (for SC, ST and, PwD category candidates) before filing of application form.

STEP 2: Selection Criteria

For the full-time regular registration category, candidates are shortlisted based on the GATE score or written test or interview or on the basis of any combination of these as declared by the individual department. For admission under other categories, candidates are exempted from appearing in the written test.

STEP 3: Seat Allotment

The institute declares the final merit list of candidates who are required to appear for the counselling process and pay the RGIPT M.Tech fees.

A total of 50 students can pursue MBA in Energy Transition Management programme offered at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology. The institute follows the Reservation policy as per the Government of India directives. The seat allocation to the SC, ST, OBC, General and EWS categories is in accordance with the Government rules.

• The PwD category students also have to fill the PwD form and Scribe affidavit along with the exam application form. This is necessary for getting scribe facility and PwD facility at the test centre. The CAT application form is same for students from all categories. Those belonging to a particular category (SC/ST/PwD) will be required to mention it in the relevant field of the CAT form.

RGIPT MBA curriculum is divided into semester-pattern. Additionally, students are also required to make a project report. Candidates who get admission to the MBA core programme are required to study some of the following subjects mentioned below:

The institute allows professionally employed persons to pursue MBA programme under part-time category. Such a candidate will continues duties of service at sponsoring institute if their office is within 50 km distance. Candidate must be a regular employee of sponsoring organisation for at least two years. Candidates will have to provide NoC from their head of institution. These candidates are also exempted from CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/CUET-PG.

Yes, a final year student can apply to RGIPT MBA programme if he/she scored 60% marks or equivalent based on the latest available grades/marks. If the candidate has completed all requirements and appeared for exam and practical for final year/semester/term and result is awaited for bachelor's degree. Candidate will have to submit final year marksheet and certificate on registration date notified by institute. If the student does not fulfil the above condition, the provisional admission will be cancelled.
