It is a decent college with average placements.
Placements: According to 2024 data, the highest package was 19 LPA (off-campus), and the median package (on-campus) was 3.4 LPA. Out of 450 students, 298 secured placements, resulting in a placement percentage of 66.3%. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Teach Mahindra, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: The college does not have a hostel facility but helps provide nearby hostels or PGs. The infrastructure is decent, neither excellent nor poor. Classrooms are spacious, and the library is good. There is a six-story glass building with each floor dedicated to a different engineering branch. The college also offers opportunities to pursue a master's degree.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. The course makes students industry-ready. It is very difficult, with an 80% pass percentage. The course is difficult but it's alright. The faculty is bad enough crowd is bad too. Classrooms are the worst and AC rooms are needed but not there.
Other: The crowd is good. Even the seniors are very friendly and helpful. Talking about events, the events are excellent.

Placements: Placements at RGIT are average. But if you have skills and have worked hard then you can have a great salary package at the end of the day. Some students go for off-campus placements while some go for higher studies. Many core students also do technical chores for better job opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at RGIT is average. It has a library and a xerox shop on the campus. The campus is spread in 7-8 acres in Mumbai Suburban. It is a 7-floor building with a canteen, auditorium and open space in front of the college. College has a beach nearby beach which is Versova beach.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very good, and they are very connected to the students. They are always ready for the doubts of students whether it be academic or even in life. All the professors here are either Ph.D. holders or have a great experience. The director of RGIT is alumni of IIT Bombay.

Faculty is great, infrastructure should be improved and placements are satisfactory.
Placements: 95% of students were placed.
The top recruiting companies were L&T and Jio.
The top roles offered were software engineer and software developer. The highest package was 8 LPA and the average was 4 LPA.
100% of my batch mates got internships. The college has an active internship cell that helps every student from every branch.
Infrastructure: Wi-fi is available although the labs already have LAN connections. The library is amazing and has almost all the books students need. The canteen is good.
College and even the departments have good sports teams. No hostel available and students usually stay in PGs available near the college.
Faculty: The faculty is great and will help you out throughout your time in college. Teaching is amazing and teachers make the best use of resources available to them and are always friendly when a student approaches them for help. The course curriculum is relevant and updated keeping in mind the changing industry needs.
Other: I chose this course because this is one of the top colleges in Mumbai for engineering. The best thing about my course is that the skills are in huge demand in the industry. The things that can be improved are more practical exposure and devoting a semester entirely to internships. Events and festivals are great and the college has a good management team and an amazing students' council.

Very Good placements in 2019.
Placements: The placement percentage of students was 100%. The highest salary was 10lacs per annum. The lowest was 2-3 lacs per annum. The average salary was 4 lacs. Top recruiting companies were infosys, lti, quantifi, byjus and many more. The roles offered were business development and software development roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty decent. There was no Wi-Fi when I graduated from the college. The labs did not have any air conditioning. Labs were poorly maintained. The computers did not have the required software. The classrooms are also decent.
Faculty: The faculty were qualified. Some were helpful while some just did not bother at all. They don't know how to teach. They used to just come and read the presentations out loud. Some did not bother to ask whether we understood or no and just come in do their job and go.

Satisfied with the faculty and good placements.
Placements: Our college has a decent placement record every year. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The highest package offered this year was 10 LPA, and the highest package for core placements was 7.5 LPA. We will be sitting for placements next year i.e., 2019. Mostly technical fields have the highest placement records. This year, almost 90% of the students who appeared for placements got placed. I would give 3 out of 5 for placements.
Infrastructure: We have a beautiful college infrastructure. The college is located at a prime location with a beachside view. However, we don't have any playground on the campus. But there is a small one available little farther away from the college. You can easily reach the college from Andheri station via bus or autorickshaw.
Faculty: The college offers a total of five courses. They offer both the BE and ME degrees. Our faculty members are helpful. Our staff members are always ready to help the students whenever required. Moreover, we are also encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities.
Other: We have two fests both held in the month of March. Icarus is our technical fest, and the other one is our flagship event named Zodiac. The canteen is not that good, but some eateries available outside the campus.

Overall, it's a good place. The college is near Versova beach, so one can enjoy the fresh breeze.
Placements: Placements in our college were very poor. Most of the companies have offered an average salary package of 3.5 LPA based on the standards set by RGIT. A few companies (one or two) have offered a salary package of 10 LPA where hardly anyone is selected. Companies visiting the campus are decreasing every year. Students studying here expect a lot from this college, but overall, they provide average placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good. The Wi-Fi facility was available in the cafeteria. The college has decent labs and classrooms. The library was really good. Medical facilities were not available. A few sports and games facilities were available. The kitchen was unhygienic with cockroaches and rats, it's better to get your food from your home.
Faculty: Faculty members in the information technology department were pretty good and helpful. Most of the teachers were well- versed with the subjects and have a great knowledge of the subject they teach. A few teachers have zero knowledge about the subjects.

My Experience at the campus with the faculty
Placements: There are many companies coming to our college and most of all the students are been selected and given different roles in the company. Being the most valuable student got and package of 10 lacks per annum. Talking about internships there is a cell to manage all the internships and most of the students get an opportunity to work with the companies depending upon the interest of the student also the company requirements.
Infrastructure: The college just have a single building. No big campus available. The each department has a different classroom and laboratory depending on their requirements there are 6 floors and each floor has different department. The canteen has a very good and hygiene product that are pure vegetarian and good to have.
Faculty: The teachings and non teaching staff is very good and co-operative. The teacher have very adequate knowledge of the subjects teaching. The teachers use the board as well as the projector while teaching. The laboratory are also very good and you get a proper exposure.
Other: The college have many events throughout the year. Every second day different department are having workshops. There is 2 big college fest each year celebrated which are technical and cultural events and activities.

The infrastructure, location, college life and placements are good
Placements: The placements for my college are good. Most of the top IT companies and few core companies visited campus. On an average scale, 30 to 40 companies visit the campus. IT companies offer job roles like software engineer, JTA, and other companies offer JE and trainee roles. The average package offered in this college is about 3.2 lakhs to 4 lakhs, the lowest package offered was 2 lakhs and highest offered was around 5 lakhs. IT companies are bulk recruiters. Infosys, TCS and sometimes Accenture visited the campus. Companies don't visit the campus for internships. The placements have declined since a few years, because most of the students who get placed, opt for higher studies and don't accept the offers.
Infrastructure: The campus is built according to the latest standards. The building looks like a proper corporate office. There is no playing ground or a lush green campus, as this college is in suburban areas of Mumbai. You will find all the classrooms and labs well-furnished with classy interiors. All the labs and classrooms are digital. The computers in the labs work well and the software is updated. The classrooms have whiteboards and digital projectors. The canteen is on an open area and it is clean. The food offered is affordable, edible and very tasty. The canteen infrastructure is quite attractive. There are no infrastructure-related issues, the location is nice, as it is very close to the Versova beach.
Faculty: The faculty team is not well-qualified and they aren't helpful to students when it comes to practical learning. All teachers aim to complete the syllabus, which is a situation in almost every average colleges of Mumbai. The lab assistants are knowledgeable and helpful to students during practicals.
Other: If you aren't aiming for the top 5 colleges of Mumbai, then this is a good college to go for. The location is quite romantic and you will find many hangout places nearby. The student life is very good, as college gives a nice focus on festivals and invites Bollywood celebrities for festivals and events. Placements are considerably good. The crowd joining this institute is a mixture from Mumbai city and other villages from Maharashtra.

To take admission in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, there are two ways to it.
1st Way:
One is the Cap Round, which will be on the basis of your marks scored in the MHCET or JEE Exams.

First of choosing IT department is a great decision Ria. Yes, you'll get admission easily in 1st or second round. I'll suggest you to fill some good colleges above RGIT in preference form like VIT, DJSCOE . They are good colleges than RGIT.
