B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2026

Overall a good experience and satisfactory facilities .
Placements: As heard from my seniors, college placement team is quite helpful, we also have placement training programs since sem 4 itself. Compared to other colleges of our tier we have better placement records. Maximum package can go upto 24 Lacs while average is around 5 Lacs. Minimum package can also go as low as 2-3 Lacs. We have mostly mass recruiters like L&T and CapGemini. Teachers assist and encourage us in terms of internships and we also have a compulsory internship to complete in around third year. Most students get placed in teach jobs, even the ones not from it and CS domain. Overall better than other colleges in our area .
Infrastructure: We have wi-fi facility, library, computer labs but the classrooms are quite school- like. There is AC in labs only. Comparatively infra is better. Hostel is good and disciplined and food is also good. I would honesty say we have minimalist sports facilities though, there is no proper playground, but we do have sports teams.
Faculty: Teachers are quite knowledgeable and the curriculum is strict and very disciplined. Teaching quality is good and we do have projectors for whatever subjects require it. We also have teacher feedback every twice every semester. Course curriculum is according to university only, which personally to me is kind of outdated. But for my branch, as I have also confirmed from my seniors, the syllabus is much better since 2nd year. Semester exams are difficult and pass percentage was less for my batch since we had to rush through the year in almost half time due to delays in admission, but overall we have better pass percentage of compared to other colleges.
Other: I chose IT because wanted to remain in the CORE programming domain only, wherein CS offers more of a broader syllabus, covering hardware electronics parts too briefly. We have quite good syllabus in IT specifically which is more industry oriented. I would like, from the side itself, that they teach us some more of programming since year itself instead of including subjects like drawing and graphic or Physics Chemistry since we get a sudden and difficult change in second year when we are taught 2-3 languages together suddenly. We have our annual fest which is quite cool. Our alumni network is also very helpful. A suggestion would be to join clubs like NSS and GDSC. Gdsc is a very industry oriented and technical club while nss would be a good social experience. Campus surroundings are good we have many food outlets and also it is very close to bus and railway station. Crowd is good and disciplined comparatively.

I am very satisfied with placements of this college.
Placements: Almost 95% of students got placed in this course. Top recruiting companies visit our college for recruitment. The highest salary package offered was 20 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Jio, TCS, and IBM. The top roles offered are senior engineer and consultant. Around 70-80% of students got internships in this course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Laboratories are well-equipped. Classrooms are better. All facilities are adapted with smart learning features.
Faculty: All teachers are very good. They are helpful and friendly. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 90-95%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. The best thing about this course is that we can gain in-depth knowledge. Our college should improve its practical knowledge.

It is a good college in everything.
Placements: Around 100% of students get placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 27 LPA and the lowest salary package is 5 LPA. Many companies like TCS, Jio, and many more offer placements in our college. Students get internships through college in many companies. Top roles are offered in our college.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure and facilities. There are good laboratories and sports centers like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, etc. This college is very clean. Hostels are clean and food served in the canteen is good.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Teaching quality is very good. Our course is very helpful for students who love coding. Semester exams are not difficult if students study well. The pass percentage is 100%.

Overall, it is a good place for students with plans of higher studies.
Placements: Graduated with BE-IT from the 2017 batch, and during our course, placements were above average as compared to previous years. Around 85-90% of the students got placed in at least one company by the end of the academic year. The highest salary package offered was 12.5 LPA, and the lowest probably was around 2 LPA, with the average salary package being offered between 3 LPA-4 LPA. Top recruiters were Capgemini, LTI, TCS, and Jio. All kinds of roles were on offer, like Java, net developer, cloud developer, AI, data science engineer, digital marketing, etc., along with non-technical roles such as marketing and sales.
Infrastructure: SIES campus was pretty new as compared to other colleges, and they go through a frequent renovation so all the labs and classrooms are pretty neat, clean, and comfortable. Dated dot-net printers were replaced with digital ones, normal boards were replaced with projectors, and even the canteen was upgraded in terms of size as well as variety a few years back. There were several places to enjoy and have fun, but the only drawback would be that there was no full-fledged ground on the campus. Though there are multiple grounds within a 500 m radius of the college.
Faculty: SIES has a good overall crowd which implies even to the teaching staff. But it's still a mixed bag, with some professors being too good to be teaching at an engineering college, while others aren't that great enough. The IT faculty members were specifically good in terms of teaching, behavior, and attitude, being probably the most easy-going faculty members of the college. Overall it has a pretty good setup for IT students.
Other: The campus crowd at SIES is good. The only ragging that happens is of the students, by the university. You will find all kinds of people, from the future rockstars to the future chefs, entrepreneurs, and even future regular office-goers. Overall we have a very passionate and vibrant crowd, especially if you're planning on higher studies. There are yearly two fests, but they are not the strong point of SIES GST, although fests of other streams like Siesons are pretty great.

It is a good college with a good infrastructure which mainly focuses on the academic curriculum.
Placements: Almost 50% to 60% of the students get placed mostly from computer and information technology departments. Most recruiting companies for our college are Byju's, TCS, etc. Overall, the placements are good. Students get scholarships from Internshala, Coursera, etc. The top role offered here is an executive internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, and the college premises are very clean. All things are in good condition, and our college takes regular feedback about the canteen. There is no complain about the facilities and infrastructure of the college. Classrooms are huge and spacious, and the labs are neat and clean.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly knowledgeable. They have a minimum qualification of PhD in their subject and have practical knowledge also. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Mostly engineering is about practical knowledge and less about theory knowledge, so I do not need to worry with that.
Other: Our college focuses mainly on the academic curriculum of students. A lot of fests, sports competitions and extracurricular activities are organised. But our college needs to provide students with a little bit of free time as it becomes hectic for them to participate in activities and focus on curriculum.

The college also conducted training sessions before placements.
Placements: Many companies visited the college for placements and paid internships. Placement percentage is also very good and it is around 80-90%. Companies visited were LTI, JIO, Ingram Micro, Xoriant, Capgemini, Wipro, Infosys and many more. College also conducted the training sessions before placements.
Infrastructure: Talking about Infrastructure it is good and well maintained. Labs has strong Wi-Fi connection and well maintained with new equipments. Canteen facility is also good. You will get breakfast, lunch and snacks also. Washrooms are clean and hygienic. The library is also good with all types of books available here.
Faculty: Faculty in college is excellent and their teaching skills are excellent. Faculty are intelligent and very friendly. They will try to solve your doubts as soon as possible. Even after working hours, they will try to love your doubts. College has nice faculty members. Every department in college has excellent and professional faculty members.
Other: The Best thing about college is it provides mentor mentee interaction which is great initiative. If you have any problem then you can ask your mentee. College also arranges various events like cognition and TML which are very interesting and mind refreshing.

It is a good college, and it has good infrastructure, good placements and value for education.
Placements: Most of the students got placed. If you have very good knowledge and good soft skills, then it is helpful for placements. The college schedules some courses, specially designed for freshers. You can get internship offers from reputed companies also. The salary package offered is varied for students.
Infrastructure: There are Wi-Fi facility, huge classrooms, labs are fully equipped with current techs. There are no hostel facilities, but there are private hostels near the college. The canteen is good for lunch. The college has a gym, and each student has vima. There is a facility for indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified, and their teaching is quite good. They teach us based on the curriculum, and it's application. They arrange seminars so that students get industry knowledge and current trends. The college alumni also help the students for their projects and internships.

I request for grievance redressal.
Placements: The college provides average placements. Around 50-60% of the students were placed last year, and I have no idea about the highest salary package. The lowest salary package offered was around 2.5 LPA, because of this, not many students were interested in campus placements. So, they either go for off-campus placements or higher studies.
Infrastructure: Labs don't provide charging ports for laptops. No updated software being installed in the lab computers. There was no sports area to workout or do practice. There were no proper classrooms, and the ceiling falls off. There was leakage throughout the year, but there was no proper recovery yet.
Faculty: Faculty members were very strict here. Even if we were jovial, they would reduce our attendance. The course curriculum has become a tedious one for the students. More than 3 projects have to do in one semester, and also have to complete them on time. If we did not complete the projects, then they would give less marks which will affect our result.
Other: The college organises 2 fests a year. Because of the very strict curriculum, we are being instructed to work for the council after college, which was a period where the students were drained and not even able to do any work.
