Reviewing the Computer department of RMD Sinhgad College.
Placements: Our college provides 90 percent placements for Computer Engineering department. We have central placements throughout the college. The average package of the computer department is between 4-5 lacs and the highest package is about 27 Lacs. Internship is provided from 2nd and 3rd year onwards by the college.
Infrastructure: I am satisfied with the faculty and the infrastructure of the college. The college provides high-speed Wi-Fi across the campus. There is a big library and spacious classrooms. The hostel has a beautiful infrastructure with greenery everywhere. The college canteen is good.
Faculty: The teachers of the Computer department are helpful, friendly and supportive. Their teaching quality is really good. Computer engineering is the best course for your future. The semester exams are difficult, if you study well, it will be easy for you to pass. The passing percentage is also good.
Other: I have an interest in web development that’s why I chose computer engineering. Computer engineering has a wide range of career options which you can apply to.

Good facilities and faculty.
Placements: Placements for our seniors are good. 70–80 out of 100 students are placed in companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Cognizant at a package of 3–4 LPA. From final-year students eligible for placements, some students with good resumes and communication skills easily get internships in reputed organizations.
Infrastructure: Colleges have facilities like a big campus, big classrooms, free internet, a 24/7 library and many more. The hostel has facilities like hot water, a bed and a cupboard. Mess food is good and healthy; outside campus food is more tasty than canteen food. The college organized events called Techtonic.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful; some are doctorate, Ph.D. and Masters qualified with good teaching skills. The course curriculum is relevant to the course and improves the students skillset. Semester exams are not difficult throughout the year; staff organized demo exams and orals, so the end of semester exams became easy to clear.

Satisfied by events and campus but dissatisfied by faculty and placement opportunities.
Placements: I will pass out from the 2025 batch. The placement session is going on now.
From the 2024 batch, about 30% of students were placed.
The highest package offered is 27 LPA by a Japanese company, 'JTP'.
The average package offered is 4 LPA.
Companies visiting the campus are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Accenture.
The college has tied up with companies for internships.
For a good internship, we need to consider off-campus internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good.
Classrooms and labs are good.
Wifi is available.
The library has facilities such as reference books and textbooks.
The hostel facility is available and is a bit okay. Boys and girls have different hostels.
Hostel Mess is also available, but mess food is not good.
There is a separate sports department.
Faculty: The college is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).
The end-of-semester exam is conducted by the university. Exam difficulty is moderate.
The course curriculum is a bit outdated. Curriculum is not industry-based.
The faculty of the college is not particularly good.
Only a few faculty members are good.
Other: I had given the MHCET exam. I got admitted to the institute through the CAP process.
I wish that the course curriculum should be industry-based and real-life application-oriented.
The college has various events and festivals.
Sinhgad Karandak is the biggest festival of the institute.
Campus is good but a bit small.
Connectivity with people is ok.
Scholarships are available on a caste and merit basis.
Extracurricular activities are also there.

I really miss campus, and ofcourse my friends.
Placements: Students must earn a minimum of 60% to be eligible for placements. Almost 40% of students got placed. The highest package is INR 15 LPA, and the average is INR 3.6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Abzooba, TCS, Infosys, etc. And other 40% students got paid internships from upstox, Infomenia, etc.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure was attractive and well designed. Facilities available like sports couch, free Wi-Fi at computer lab, free additional courses, etc. Hostel food was average. The canteen food was good For sports like basketball, cricket, and kabbadi courts, both outdoor and indoor sports clubs are in college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, highly qualified and knowledgeable; there teaching skills are good; they are more focused on concept clearance. The course is relevant to industrial requirements; it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are medium-hard; if you study, they're easy to clear.

College is nice, the placements are average, and supportive staff.
Placements: Placements are pretty average here like other Sinhgad Colleges of Vadgaon, Narhe branch. The highest package is around 17 LPA and the average is around 4 LPA. Internships are mostly given during the 3rd year of college. Top recruiting companies recruiting are Tata Consultancy, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: College has a nice library facility. Wi-Fi is also available in the main building zone. Classrooms are pretty normal but okayish type you can get digital learning as well. Labs are available for every department including first year, they are well-maintained. Canteen and Mess are available but canteen food is better than mess food.
Faculty: RMD College had a good faculty for my first year. Teachers are supportive and the staff is also not very rude. Teachers are well-qualified. Exams are conducted as per the 2024 pattern, we have an external subject for CCE activity which has credit as well, it helps students to build some extra skills or gain experience. Semester exams are moderate this time, pass percentage varies for some difficult subjects like basic electrical engineering (BEE) and engineering mathematics.
Other: I chose computer engineering because I had an interest in learning things related to that domain I wish the course had little more practical learning classes than theory and assignments part. Fests are mostly done in main branch of Sinhgad (Vadgaon Branch), here we have only 2 days fest for traditional day and bollywood day.
