Review of B.A. programme economics + political science 2024.
Placements: Since most of the students studying at the University of Delhi prepare for government exams, B.A. program students were not very inclined to do internships. The recruitment cell also preferred the B.Com. students over B.A. students. There were internship opportunities available.
Infrastructure: Shivaji College offers a 3-story library, canteen, medical facilities, and sports ground. The labs are in good condition, and the classrooms in which B.A. students were not really in nice conditions, but for science students there was a new science block building.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, most of them being net qualified. Apart from that, the economics faculty at Shivaji is very good. The course curriculum is as per UGC norms. It does prepare the students to become industry-ready to some extent. The semester exam questions are bit predictable in nature.
Other: There is ample diversity in terms of the population of students coming from every corner of the country, as well as diversity in college societies catering to various interest groups of students.

I am satisfied with the faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: The motive of this course is to enrich students with all the knowledge in this particular area. If students are aiming for civil services, then this is the perfect course for them as it prepares them on all levels for the exam. Placement options are minimal.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. It is surrounded by lush green trees, and there is greenery throughout the campus. Our college has the biggest library in the entire Delhi University and has around 3 floors. Students can get all types of books there.
Faculty: Teachers of our course are very friendly and helpful. They know how to impart their knowledge such that students can get the maximum benefit from it. They are always there to help you with every type of query, and that's not only limited to academics. They also listen to our personal problems.
Other: Our course is very good. They need to change the fee structure. Currently, the fee is a bit more. Apart from that, everything is great. The annual fest of our college is also something to look forward to. The surroundings of our college are also good. It has got some pretty great hangout places around.

Good infrastructure and worthy to join.
Placements: About 40% of people can work as accountants and many more. Shivaji placement cell is there and mostly I don't know about internships but I heard they are good and many students got the internships. The average package offered must be around 40 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-furnished faculty is nice.No hostel is available. The library is the finest place to study. The collection of books is nice they have nice books and a photocopy shop also available in the library. It's one of the biggest libraries at Delhi university.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and helpful. Exams are moderate. All the teachers are highly qualified and mostly had done Ph.D. , they are very helpful and understanding. Semester exams are moderate you have to study and do assignments on time.
Other: I choose the course because I want to study both political science and economics at the same time. The annual fest is so much fun. Crowd is nice.

It is a very good college with a great ambiance.
Placements: In our course, the last cut-off was 88%. The highest salary package is often provided to commerce students. Arts students will not get placed. Companies like Tata, Reliance and Wipro visit our college for placements. In our course, none of the students get an internship as they opt for various examinations and for higher studies too.
Infrastructure: The ambiance and infrastructure of our college are quite good. Other facilities, including food, administration, and medical facilities, are good. Wi-Fi facility is only available for teachers. Labs contain all the equipment. I do not have any experience of the hostel facility.
Faculty: Mostly, teachers in our college are friendly and highly educated. They have a lot of experience. If you select this course, then you can further opt for higher studies, and you can learn about various issues across the countries. Semester exams are not that hard. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I have chosen this course for higher studies, and economics is popular and demandable subject. Teachers should try to give some practical examples too while teaching. Fest crowd and cultural fest are amazing. You get a chance of various scholarships in UG courses, and you just have to fill a form for it.

College library faculty protests over salary issue. Students election time si the worst.
Placements: Being humanities students we don't have to think about placements because all students have a civil services future. Most of the computer science students get placement from the placement society of Shivaji College. Private IT companies hired most computer science students because they are familiar with software development and many other computer-related works. Most of the students got placement like from math faculty and CS.
Infrastructure: Our course is B.A. program political science is my major because I want to do M.A. Our college political science is pretty much good. Teachers and administration department offer attitude are so good among students. College provides free Wi-Fi for all students but it fully works only available places. I never expect that I receive such kind of lecture rooms like a medical college so well.
Faculty: When I was in my first semester, I faced that studying in college is quite different from school because in school we face only competitive teachers but here first time in my life I got the opportunity to study from a Ph.D. holders teachers are with full knowledge of political science. We all are ready to prepare for semester exams because this is the time to revise all the subjects and contents we have studied yet. All the student's future is dependent on civil services exam so every student of our humanity group think about how much knowledge we have acquired and not the grades. Minimum 33% is enough to go next semester.

Q:   How is CUET UG cut off calculated?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

The CUET UG cut off is determined by CUET participating universities seperately. Parameters on the basis of which CUET UG cut off is released are:

  • Total number of candidates that appeared for the CUET UG exam
  • The number of seats offered by the participating universities through CUET UG
  • The difficulty level of the CUET exam
  • Overall performance of the test takers (pass percentage/ score range, etc.)

CUET cut off is based on the percentile of the candidate. To calculate the CUET percentile following formula is applied:
