It is the best college to study in Kolkata.

Placements: For our stream, we didn't have any placement facility because our subject was purely academic. But, Shikshayatan has a placement cell which conducts regular placement in various companies for the students, whose profile and knowledge matches with the job requirements.

Infrastructure: Shikshayatan has facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, and well-decorated classrooms, and in classrooms, one can get mini library as per their respective streams or subjects. Medical facilities are also available on the campus, and all types of sports and games are being facilitated.

Faculty: Teaching quality is of an A+ grade. Various forms of evaluation sessions or test conducted before the final exam. Teacher to student ratio is also pretty good that is 1:15. The teaching method used by the professors is very systematic, where the students get an opportunity to give a paper presentation and cross-college paper presentation so that students could understand and learn through it.

It is a great college, but it does have its pros and cons.

Placements: Placement opportunities are not provided by our college, but a placement cell is present where students can enrol themselves and get part-time jobs to gain experience. There is no guarantee of placements, but if you wish to gain experience in facing the interviews, you just have to enrol yourself in the placement cell. In my senior batch, some of the students who were interested in placements did the same.

Infrastructure: Shikshayatan has a very well-established infrastructure, a huge library and spacious classrooms. Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus. There is a hygienic vegetarian canteen on the campus. The college does not have a hostel, and students can stay in a residential building provided by the college. It is located a bit away from the campus.

Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful to students. More theoretical knowledge is provided in my course than the field work. Still, our course is helpful, and the faculty members are very supportive to students before the examinations and also throughout the course.

Other: The college organises a fest called Srijaan. Many events and sports day are conducted in the college.
