Silicon Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar MCA Scholarships

There are at least 14 different schemes (state-specific or all-state) under which the scholarships are provided to a student. Top six students of Silicon Scholars Club are provided with a scholarship of INR 12,000 per annum by the institute. In addition, Silicon staff members contribute every year to provide scholarships to the poor and needy students. Students have to submit the supporting documents as per the guidelines of the different schemes. Silicon’s Nodal Officer promptly processes the application for scholarships.

It did not had good placement in 2018. As per fees criteria, college is worthless of placements.

Placements: Only 11% of students got placed out of 57 students in our batch 2018. The highest salary offered was of Rs. 22,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 12,000 per month. An average salary offered was of Rs. 15,000 per month. Infosys was the top brand company in which only one student got placed. Wipro and STL offered the role as a software developer. The highest salary package offered was of 2.8 LPA. Around 90% of the students got internships from our course.

Infrastructure: The college was good for studies and collecting fees on time. The infrastructure of the college was good. I didn't stay in the hostel. Food was fine in the cafeteria, and this college only focuses on studies. Sports activities were conducted little bit by taking a huge amount of fees. If we don't pay the fee on time, then we will be fined.

Faculty: Few faculty members of our college were helpful and knowledgeable. But few were arrogant. Most of the teachers were very good. The way they delivered their knowledge and teaching skills were good. The course curriculum was relevant. Few subjects are industry-based, but most of the subjects were not according to the industry needs.

Other: I opted for the course because I wanted to integrate my BCA degree and want to know more about this field. I learned most of the programming languages. Subjects should be relevant to the industry needs. Most of the subjects taught are not used in companies. They should change the subjects as per the real-life demand.
