Q:   How is mess food at Sri Venkateswara College?
    A:
I've never tasted the food in mess but according to some of my friends who used have access to Venky's mess said that, most of the time the food was good and hygienic but sometimes it may be annoying to eat same meal multiple times in a week. But I think that's how college life is you've to sacrifice your taste and comfort you used to get earlier in your home.
Q:   What is unique about Sri Venkateswara College?
    15thumbs up
    A:
The focus on holistic education is one of the characteristics that make Sri Venkateswara College unique. In the College's opinion, education should be more than academic training; it also needs to focus on self-development and character building. To that end, the school offers a range of opportunities for students to participate in various activities and events such as service work or outreach. If you're are sports enthusiast then this college is definitely for you, from cricket to football, badminton, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis it has everything you can think of. Not only sports but it does also consists of dance societies, music societies etc. Some teachers in the faculty also dedicate much time in equipping students with practical knowledge as well, creating a perfect balance between theoretical and practical knowledge. Let me get you with a better view on this point, one of our teachers in commerce faculty helped all of us connecting with some of her past students who were placed in good companies such as google, Delloite, KPMG such face-to-face interactions which also includes Q&A session is definitely a pool of knowledge for all current students. So, yes these were some unique points about Sri Venkateswara College which definitely make it stand out from the crowd. Hope you liked it, Thanks.

    Amazing college with great infrastructure.
Placements: Very few students are placed in my college, especially in my course. Since it's a literature course, the package offered is not certain, I've not heard of any top company recruiting in my course. Internships are also self-joined and not provided by the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really amazing with good classrooms, Wi-Fi, and a library. All sorts of study materials are available in the college library, which helps a lot rather than finding material on the internet, which is sometimes very confusing and difficult.
Faculty: Teachers are really nice with quite a long-term experience, which eventually shows in their teaching skills. The classrooms are a safe space for sharing and learning new thoughts and also for having great intellectual discussions. The exams are also moderate.
Other: I chose this course because I'm interested in literature and the fest. The campus crowd and connectivity are amazing.

Decent placements, moderate infrastructure, and quality teaching staff.
Placements: About 7 percent of students got placed in my course with the highest package going around 15 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the median is around 7 LPA-8 LPA. Top recruiters include companies like Brain and Company, Deloitte, KPMG, and DE Shaw. Top roles offered include business analyst, tax associate, finance associate, etc.
Infrastructure: It provides adequate basic infrastructure for academic activities, classrooms are functional. There is a good library built along with reading rooms and there is internet connectivity throughout the campus. Sports and games facilities require better infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and the course curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty which test the complete knowledge of the student about the syllabus. The passing percentage is very impressive, i.e., around 80-90 percent indicating that the exams are not that tough.
Other: The college organises the best fest in the whole of DU circuit and also has one of the best crowds.

Sri Venkateswara College should be higher on your preference sheet.
Placements: The placements are pretty well-rounded as the college offers courses in all three streams, Arts, Commerce, and Science. There are placements in corporates and research as well. Big companies like Brain and Company and D. E. Shaw recruit from the college, along with many others.
Infrastructure: Excellent facilities are available for everyone regardless of their courses. Ample options for extracurricular activities, sports, and games. Library has good Wi-Fi and provides an environment that genuinely motivates students to study. Overall, facilities are good.
Faculty: Faculty for Economics (Hons) is very knowledgeable and thorough in what they teach. Teachers are understanding and kind. The semester exams are a bit tough due to rigorous Maths and Statistics, but overall it is an okay experience. You can do well if you are comfortable with Mathematics.
Other: Campus life at this college is unbeatable. You will find all kinds of people, so there is a place for every type of student. The crowd is a good balance between fun and academics. Most students are serious about their careers while still enjoying college life. Nexus is also one of the best fests in DU.

Great college life, facilities, and dream campus in the South side of Delhi University.
Placements: The placement cell of the college works tirelessly to provide quality offers from top companies. It consistently provides good internships and job offers. Top roles include HR positions in companies like Deloitte. Talking about my course, I have not heard of any placements yet, but I think the placement cell helps in finding opportunities for students as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is constantly evolving. I have dedicated only one star because the auditorium has been under construction for 5 years. Apart from that, all other facilities are satisfactory. Hostel facilities are also very good and satisfactory, even though there is approximately one hostel seat available for each course.
Faculty: Faculty is very qualified and provides quality education as expected from such a prestigious university. The curriculum is quite relevant and is based on the DU syllabus. Exams are also held on time. Semester exams are moderately difficult, not too hard, but they can be challenging if one is not prepared.
Other: I have a personal interest in Sociology. The course should include a modern syllabus. The fest is the best in the whole of DU. Regarding ECA, all societies are very active, especially the debating and dance societies, which are recognized at the university level.

Good infrastructure and placements last year. Good faculty members and a great campus life.
Placements: I don't know about my course's placement, but overall, last year the highest package went up to 13.48 LPA, and 110 students got placed. The top recruiting companies were EY and Deloitte. The top roles offered in my course are Copywriter, Content Writer, and opportunities to explore academia.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good here. The Wi-Fi works well, and classrooms and labs have well-furnished tables and benches. The chemicals are kept with utmost care in the labs. The library assistants make sure discipline is well-maintained. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful here. They are well-educated and qualified. My course curriculum is relevant, yet sometimes I feel it could be better. For some obvious reasons, my course does not make one industry-ready as it does not teach the relevant skills required for the industry.

    Good exposure and opportunities.
Placements: The companies are mainly recruiting from a commerce background, very few options are available for Political Science. The placement cell has recently started focusing more on Science and arts companies as well, we have a few think-tanks and research-related placements available now.
Infrastructure: The college canteen is good, and it also has an open canteen. The prices are very affordable however the quality of food is average. Wi-Fi is available in college, classes are in average condition but the faculty members actively listen to student concerns and they have been renovating classrooms and other facilities in recent years. The library is accessible and good.
Faculty: Teachers are mixed. Some are good and knowledgeable however some of them are really questionable. I am able to find some really helpful teachers who would extend support after classes as well. Some of them on the other hand are really reasonable in their marking scheme and attendance scheme.
Other: Venky is an amazing college in terms of having all the available opportunities and facilities. The fest is one of the best things about Venky. There are 30-plus societies, and they are all very active. I chose Political Science because of my interest in policymaking and research in this field. It provides ample opportunities regarding competitions, workshops, exposure, etc.
