This review is about college life.
Placements: In the last year's data, 86% of students got placed in companies that registered for the placement. The highest package was INR 56 LPA, and the lowest package was INR 6 LPA. The median package was INR 12 LPA last year. The most frequent companies are Infosys and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is very modern, and the buildings get renovated over a period of time. The library is open 24 hours a day, all medical facilities are available, and there are all types of sports and games. The hostel and mess food are decent and good.
Faculty: The teachers and the faculty are very knowledgeable and have a good hand in teaching as they are PhD scholars. The teaching quality is also remarkable. The course curriculum is very relevant, and the college also makes industrial visits frequently.

It is a good college with decent placements.
Placements: Placements are good for CS and IT. Companies like Microsoft, Deloitte, HDFC, and Bajaj Finserv visited the campus. They provide good salary packages. As for placements for mech and civil engineers, they are not good, so the only option left for them is to go for higher studies.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure and facilities, this is one of the top colleges in the country. There are fully functional labs and spacious classrooms with high-speed Wi-Fi. The college canteen is also a big plus point. Facilities in the hostel include a common kitchen and a TT table.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified enough, and the teaching quality is decent. The course curriculum is relevant to industry needs. All the latest trends, like AI/ML and IoT, are covered. Exams are a bit difficult as they follow a relative grading system, so scoring high becomes difficult.

It is the best college to pursue engineering, especially for the branch CS/IT.
Placements: Especially in IT and CS streams, placements are good. Almost 77% of the students were provided with placements from CS/IT this year. The highest salary package offered was around 20 LPA, and the lowest was somewhere 7 LPA. The average salary package offered was from 9 LPA - 10 LPA. Top recruiters are Uplers, Diskriter, Adecco, Kelly Services, Srisys Inc, Infosys, Microsoft, and Google. Many people get international internships like AICTE - Mitacs Canada Globalink, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24X7. Labs are huge and they have all the required tools. We have air-conditioned classrooms with projectors and screens and a whiteboard. It is a very clean campus and there is a huge library like shown in game of thrones. The best quality food and facilities are provided at the hostel. It is the only hostel where you will like the food.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly and supportive. They will always be available for helping you at any time. We have the best quality teachers. There are few subjects in which there will be two teachers one for theory and the other is an industrial expert coming and taking practical classes. Their classes make you ready for the industrial experience. Semester exams and corrections are a bit tough and the fail percentage is a bit higher because they are very strict. No important questions are given, and mugging up won't work here.
Other: I chose this course because it is the next best after CS and I wasn't able to get CS. The best thing about this course is we also get to learn everything a CS student learns and we also learn a few hardware things and placements. This course is perfect. Events and fests held are good.

I had a descent and not a great experience with Symbiosis institute of technology.
Placements: Just entered 4th year, due to pandemic situation the internship semester has been shifted from 6th to 8th semester but students personally believe its because the college was unable to secure offers from companies. Also placement opportunities depends completely on the branch you select and luck. CS and it departments have opportunities with regard to placements whereas mechanical and Civil branch doesn't.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good and labs are well-equipped for all the branches. Hostel life is good too, hygiene and cleanliness is maintained. Boys are allotted hostel facility only till second year and later they have to vacate it and stay at flats. One gets to participate in everything if he/she stays in hostel and medical and sports and games facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified, but for the present situation the fees that we pay and the knowledge that is been given is not up to the mark. The subjects don't really give a good picture towards what the industry needs. With regard to exams and marks its totally a messed up grading system cause they follow the relative grading system wherein students are marked based on other students marks.
Other: The college fee is really high for the knowledge one receives. Crowd isn't that great as one might expect, doesn't go quite by the brand name. The fests are totally conducted by the students but they aren't up to how one expects compared to other colleges.

Review of Symbiosis Institute of Technology.
Placements: Multiple companies visit the campus for placements. Some of the companies recruiting from SIT continuously for the last 5-6 years are Microsoft, Persistent Systems, MiniOrange Security, TIAA (last 2 years), Vodafone etc. The average package offered is 5.5-6.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus and hostels are very well-equipped. The mess food is satisfactory, and it serves both veg and non-veg food. The hostel rooms have attached bathrooms, and the rooms are 3-sharing. The campus has a daily need store, paid cafeteria, stationary etc.
Faculty: The management keeps updating the curriculum from time to time and keeps introducing the latest subject for every batch. Guest lectures are conducted a few times in a semester, where people from industries give lectures in their area of expertise. The college faculty are good and have in-depth knowledge of their domain.
Other: The college organises 2 fests every year, one is a cultural fest, and the other is a technical fest.

Hi, Symbiosis Institute of Technology is best as per infrastructure, experienced faculties and placements basis. You should prefer it over MIT Pune.

Hello, Vijay, It's really a typical choice. SRM is one of the India's top university. It's good in all over development with studies. It's an A grade university. Good luck. Thanks

According to me, electrical in Thapar has more value than IT from SIT because Thapar is a well-recognized institute with great placements, faculty, infrastructure, library, etc.
