All about Thakur College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: The placement percentage of this college is 80% and in our batch, there are a total of 250 students. The internship percentage is also very good. Top companies like JP Morgan and Microsoft also visit this college for placements. Overall, the college is good.
Infrastructure: The best part about our college is its infrastructure, course department, library, and classrooms. All classrooms are air-conditioned, good and big. The infrastructure of this college is excellent. I did not opt for the hostel facility, so I do not know about it.
Faculty: Faculty members of this college are very helpful to the students. Students are provided with modules as the college is autonomous. All the exams are conducted based on a choice-based grade system. The college became autonomous in 2012, so the exams conducted are easy.

Placements: The college gives an excellent opportunity for students, as many top companies visit the college and offer jobs to the students with good salary packages. Some of the visitors are JP Morgan, Bluestone, Accenture, etc. Most of the students are placed during the campus placement drives in the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There are many facilities the college provides, like a library, reading rooms for studying in free time, and laboratories with well-maintained equipment. The college also has a good environment and is strictly against ragging.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is excellent. The teachers and staff are very supportive. The faculty teaches in a very good manner and is also understandable. The curriculum provided by the college is authentic and amazing for the 4-year program. The exams are also conducted at regular intervals.

Life is good at TCET but work hard to grab dream placements.
Placements: In the last two years, about 850 students were admitted to the final year, and over 750 were placed. The highest package was 44 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. The top recruiters were Amazon, JP Morgan Chase, Accolite Software, Toppr, BYJU's Tooshi, IDFC, and Oracle.
Infrastructure: Our college has one of the best infrastructures among Mumbai colleges. It provides all the necessary facilities for students, including a hostel. The campus is also great for sports and other activities.
Faculty: The classes are quite challenging, but the faculty is very helpful and knowledgeable. The college also offers extra classes and support to help students succeed.

Supportive faculty members, above average placement in 2024, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: About 80 percent of students were placed this year. The highest package was 40 LPA by JPMC and the lowest is about 3 LPA. Top companies are TCS, INFOSYS, Oracle, and JPMC. Internships include both in-house and out-of-house internships. Top roles provided in the college are SDE and software development.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well-equipped with air conditioning, and there are libraries and a separate reading room for students. There is free open Wi-Fi, a canteen with reasonable pricing and good food, and a sports room or common room for students to play sports.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified enough. More than 90 percent of teachers have either completed their Ph.D. or are pursuing it. The quality of teaching is good. The curriculum is relevant and lies with the NEP. It includes skill-based subjects that make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate and the pass percentage is 40 percent.
Other: The Computer Engineering Branch is pretty good with good placement as well as higher study opportunities.

Good placement offers, good infrastructure, an overall complete package for success.
Placements: Tcet has it's own placement cell that offers 100% placement for all students with a CGPA > 7 and marks in 12th > 75%. The highest package offered by TCET goes up to 18 LPA, and the average package is around 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies include JP Morgan Case & Co., and other famous companies also visit TCET for yearly recruitment. The college also offers outhouse internships from 3rd year with around >50% students getting internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is far better than that of other institutes. With big spacious and air-conditioned reading room and air-conditioned classrooms, proper ventilation, and multiple elevator (6-7), there is no rush as it is a 7-story building. The institute also has an auditorium of it's own, which is used for addressing guest appearances and festivals. The hostel rooms are clean and safe, with security guards always on duty The food in mess and canteen is hygienic and affordable. The college also has a sick room for patients in case of emergency. Multiple sports competitions are also organised like cricket, football and many more.
Faculty: The teaching method followed includes all aspects such as theory-based learning, application-based learning, and project-based learning. All the faculty members are highly qualified, with most having a Masters degree and over 10–20 years of experience. The course curriculum revolves around core computing subjects and is very relevant in current times; it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are easier than those at Mumbai University but still require thorough knowledge of what has been taught in class; the passing percentage is >80%. .
Other: I chose this course as it is very relevant in current times, The demand for computer engineers has been rising at an astonishing rate in the past decade. It would be better if the irrelevant subjects that are part of the first-year curriculum were removed but other than that, the course is very worth it. Tcet organises multiple festivals, including Zephyr, Tarangan, etc. The students are well-cultured, well-behaved and helpful as well, The campus is pretty big, with a garden in between where students can study or relax, as there is also a tree in the garden. The college offers scholarship opportunities for students belonging to EBC category, It also organises multiple sports competitions like cricket, football, etc.
