    Good infrastructure, faculty and placements.
Placements: Initially, NIE North Campus had a very good reputation and excellent placements, and it was the top engineering college in Mysore, but over the past few years, its reputation has decreased slightly. The faculty says that it will increase from now on. Currently, NIE is in the top 3 engineering colleges in Mysore, with JSS MYSORE being the top 1.
Infrastructure: The food quality and infrastructure are pretty good. They have libraries that have all the relevant books, and we can just borrow them from the library for a week and then renew them weekly, so we don't have to purchase additional new books. They also have an indoor sports room and a ground where sports activities and events are conducted.
Faculty: Teachers are quite experienced, and they do have good knowledge of their subject. They are supportive, and they clear our doubts by making the concept clear for us. The curriculum is VTU-affiliated, so they follow the standard syllabus. They provide sufficient guidance throughout. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, although one can score good marks with proper preparation, and the pass percentage is 85%.
Other: I chose B.Tech in CSE course as I'm interested in computer subjects, and the best thing about my course is that it is fascinating because we get to learn about all the new technologies and their background. The only thing that I feel should improve is the hostel building capacity, as it is limited. Apart from that, the rest is good.

It has a modern campus, great placement support, and value for money for software branches.
Placements: I am from the Information Science and Engineering from the 2022-2025 batch. Around 85-90 percent of students got placed in campus placements last year. The highest package offered is 46 LPA and the average package ranges from 8-9 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte Infosys and Oracle. Students get internships from A. P Moller Fedility Investment etc.
Infrastructure: The North campus has modern labs, Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and hostels with decent food and facilities. Sports, library, and canteen are shared with the main campus. Hygiene and cleanliness are well-maintained. Mess food is hygienic, but becomes repetitive over time. Canteen options are limited but affordable. Sports facilities like cricket, basketball, and the gym are available on the main campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant and updated as per industry trends. Exams are moderately tough. 90% is the pass rate, and autonomy helps keep course content fresh. Exams are moderately difficult, with fair paper-setting and internal marks distribution.
Other: The college offers good ROI with strong placements and infrastructure at a total fee of around 4.8 lakhs. It is affordable compared to private colleges with similar placement outcomes. There is a lively student crowd and a good mix of clubs. Fests like Technieks and hackathons keep the campus engaging.

    The review of my college.
Placements: Around 70% of students from our course are placed, mostly in web development and basic spring boot roles. The packages range from 3 LPA to 10-12 LPA, depending on the company. Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Capgemini. About 60-70% of students also landed internships through companies and platforms like Internshala and LinkedIn. Common roles offered are web developer, Java developer, and full-stack developer.
Infrastructure: The facilities are quite decent. We have decent to low-level (if more people are using) Wi-Fi, decent labs, smart classrooms, and a library that covers most of what we need. The hostel rooms are very good, it does the job, and are better than other colleges in the state. The food in the mess and canteen is okay, some days it's good, other days not so much, but you get used to it.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are pretty helpful. Some are really great and know their stuff well, while others are okay. Overall, the teaching is good enough if you pay attention and put in some effort. The course is quite relevant and gives you a decent idea of what the industry expects, especially if you're into software roles. Exams aren't too tough. You can pass easily if you study, but there's usually that one subject each semester that gives everyone a bit of a hard time.

National Institute of Engineering, North Campus., Mysore, pros and cons.
Placements: Around 70% of the students got placed in our college. As my course is new and 1st batch will pass out in 2026, so I can't give a number for my course. JP Morgan, Fidelity, and Infosys are some top companies that come for recruitment. At the moment very few ratio of students have for internship in the AIML course.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious, and the equipment like projectors and cameras are of good quality. Wi-Fi works very well. The library is quiet almost every time so a good place to study. I live in the hostel on the South campus so I don't have much idea about the North campus but some of my friends live on the North campus and they say, the food is great, along with sports but traveling is always an issue.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and extremely helpful. They do put in effort from their side. Students also need to coordinate to understand the teaching. The course curriculum is decent enough. Sem end exams are neither too easy nor too difficult but still on the easier side. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: AI is the upcoming trend and I have an interest in python and Maths which makes AI a go-to choice for my course. In my opinion, my course is in the best state as compared to the other North campus courses. Events and fests are not as hyped as the other big colleges, but not too boring to be ignored. It is enjoyable.

Overall, it is a good college for learning new things.
Placements: About 90% of students got placed last year. The highest salary package offered is 56 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 20 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Tata, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Infosys, Laursen and Tourbo, Wipro, and Goldman Sachs visit our college to hire students from my course.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course are very good. The library is also very sophisticated. Labs are very clean and good for conducting practicals. Wi-Fi is available on the campus. The quality of the food available in the mess is good.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in the North campus. They teach qualities in core subjects is very good and excellent. The difficult level of the semester exams is minimal and not so easy. The pass percentage of the semester exams is 80%.

Review about The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore (North Campus).
Placements: 95% of students were placed in my course last year. The highest package was about 45 LPA, the lowest was 8 LPA, and the average is 12-13 LPA. The top recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, L&T, etc. To be honest, what I have heard is that the students can easily get internships from this college.
Infrastructure: There are a lot of canteens to eat from. The infrastructure is quite decent. Wi-Fi facility is available to all students. There are plenty of labs and classrooms. The library has a vast amount of books in it. Hostel facilities are good, with Wi-Fi facility around 50 Mbps, and a gym inside the hostel campus. Cricket, football, and badminton can be played in the hostel. The food is decent, not too good.
Faculty: The faculty-student relationships are quite good here. They are very approachable. There is also a proctor system where each student gets a proctor assigned to them who helps us with our queries and study-related issues, and even college-related issues. The teaching quality is very good. They are helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified. The course curriculum is very relevant, and yes, it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is about 80%.
