B.Sc. in Nautical Science (Lateral Entry)

BSc nautical Science at Tolani Maritime Institute  is a three year undegraduate programme. The course is designed to prepare students for the operation and management of ships. Nautical Science multidisciplinary subject that deals with the study of techniques and knowledge about navigating and operating a ship to safety. 

Tolani Maritime Institute Bsc course curriculum provides a one-year structured training programme on board ships or other marine-related activities.

Tolani Maritime Institute admits 80 students to its BSc Nautical Sciences course, every year. Candidate selection is based on the fulfilment of eligibility criteria and selection procedure. To be eligible for the programme, the student should have passed Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate in PCM subjects and 50% aggregate in English (in either class 10 or 12).

There are various entrance exam scores that TMI will accept for admission to its B.Sc. program. You need to have these below exam qualifications for TMI admission in Bsc. Here we have the eligibility criteria of 10 + 2 i.e., in Maths, Physics and Chemistry should have the 60% aggregate and in English 50% aggregate thereafter you should write the IMU CET and after you will have their own entrance test i.e., TMISAT. You need to qualify the required cut off score for getting admission in TMI. 

For admission to a three-year BSc course in Nautical Science, candidates are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Those who attain 60% aggregate in Class 12 in the Science stream are eligible to apply for this course. Admission to this course is entrance-based. Tolani Maritime Institute conducts Tolani Maritime Institute Science Aptitude Test (TMI SAT), which is particularly conducted by the institute for admission to its BSc course. This course is offered in affiliation with IMU and after the completion of this course, students will receive a degree from IMU. The institute also accepts the  IMUCET entrance exam, which is conducted by IMU itself. Candidates have to appear and qualify for both entrance exams with a valid score.
