This college suffered for two years after corona.
Placements: 96% of students are placed from M.Sc. The packages offered are up to 10 LPA-30 LPA. Recruiting companies are Chevron and Torm Tankers. 75% of students got internships. If any student is average in academics then this is the right place for them. This college provides fast placements to girls.
Infrastructure: 5G Wi-Fi is available 24/7 in hostel and all across campus. All types of labs, classrooms with smartboards, super library, and gym are available. Football, cricket, basketball, and volleyball grounds are also available. The food is of a good quality. Gym is also of good quality.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They qualified for Ph.D. and from NITs. There are many practical training. Semester exams are moderate and passing percentage is 50%. You have to give proper respect and respond to teacher so that they can help you.
Other: I want to explore the world and earn good money. There is a little hard training here I think that should be improved here. There are many fests conducted here and students from here also take part in fests on other campuses. No scholarship is available except for Kerala students.

Absolutely satisfied with teaching quality and peaceful campus surroundings.
Placements: In our college about 70% of students are placed in many streams like MBA and Nautical Field. The average salary offered at IMU is 7 lac per annum with the highest package offered being 12 lac per annum and the lowest is 5.5 lac. The top recruiting companies are M.Sc. Anglo Eastern, Torm, Synergy, BHM and many more. Many students have got opportunity to do their internships from Mumbai port. After our course we can enter in to shipping field as captain.
Infrastructure: Our campus is fully covered with Wi-Fi networks and it is even present in hostel and canteen with high-speed. We have a computer lab, a navigational lab, and a simulator room in our campus. Classrooms are very clean and fully air conditioned with proper lighting, fans, and water purifiers. The library is beautiful and contains many books related to Nautical and management studies and also general knowledge books and many magazine related to shipping field that enhances our knowledge. The library also has its online website. The college hostel is one of the best among the other IMU campus. We have a neat and tidy bathroom and toilet. On each floor there is a water purifier containing normal, cold and hot water for drinking. For the emergency situation like fire or any accident, our hostel is equipped with a fire alarm system. Our rooms are very nice with two members accommodation in one room with two beds and all the required facilities. The hostel food menu is a mixture of North and South Indian style. It is very good and healthy. Canteen is neat and clean. In sports and games we have a good volleyball and basketball court and field for students to play after their classes. The college also has a gym facility. Overall it is excellent .
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to students and very knowledgeable. All our faculty members are captains. They are very helpful to navigation students and clear all their doubts as when possible. All the faculty members are highly experienced. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry ready. Semester exam is not much difficult and the pass percentage is 50%.
Other: In my personal opinion I chose this course for a change because I need a change and some adventure. The course allows one to travel more and see many different places. The college conducts many events, inter college fest, and intra college fest for students to participate.

Absolutely a fantastic college for those who pursue marine field.
Placements: This college provides good quality education, so various international shipping companies come to take our cadets. Companies like Mediterranean Shipping Company, Anglo-Eastern Shipping company, Seven Islands, Thom, etc. visit our campus for recruitment.
Infrastructure: Food quality facilities are provided in this college. There is great Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus and in the hostel. There are great campus facilities like Marine labs, world class level smart classrooms, and a huge library that is mostly dedicated to marine literature.
Faculty: The faculty members are very well qualified and are personnel who have demonstrated their capability in the maritime industry. The curriculum is also entirely based on modern maritime knowledge and is updated frequently. The semester exams are moderately difficult.

I hope we will get placed this year.
Placements: Some common companies will come every year. Getting placed is all about your performance. Administration helps the alumni also in getting placed. It is all about faith and hope. The HOD, Capt. Vinod Naveen, plays a crucial role in placements.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very good with great infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available in campus and in the hostel. Canteen and mess is clean and provide good food. A doctor is available 3 days a week. We have medicines for emergencies. The administration provides great support for sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members are really supportive and encourage us to study. Exams are literally the toughest. You won't get enough time to cover the portions or to prepare well. Exams will finish within 1 week. You want to score 50% of the pass mark and study a lot to answer 10 questions.
Other: This course offers a great life with dignity and passion You can travel across the country for free. Good salary .

Satisfied and the college is improving. Looking forward to it.
Placements: The college is trying to give maximum placements. For the previous semester, placement is going on. Many companies like M.Sc. 7 islands, Anglo-Eastern. In senior batches almost all got placement. As the college started recently it is becoming popular. The facilities are helping in finding placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and hostel facilities are very good. Every student has 10 GB of data Wi-Fi every week. Labs, Classrooms, and libraries are good. There is no canteen. Mess food is okay. The doctor comes in every 3 times a week. A large ground is available for all kinds of sports.
Faculty: Teaching is brilliant. Yes the curriculum is relevant. The exam depends. The pass percentage is 50%. The exam pattern is 10 multiple choice questions and 5 short answer questions and 5 long answer questions. The total marks are 100 of these 70 marks from the written exam and 30 marks CE.
Other: I like to become the captain of the ship.

Overall, the college is good. The only problem is with placements.
Placements: Ours is the first batch of B.Sc. nautical science, so we don't have seniors. Till now, 2 students got placed out of 25. Companies like Synergy, Dockendale, etc., are visiting the campus. In the maritime field, only the stipend is offered, not salary. There is no placement cell in the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good as the campus area is not huge, but it has many facilities like a football ground which is often used as a cricket ground as well. We have a volleyball court, which is of good class (synthetic), a basketball court and a table tennis court. The campus has a good academic building, a new well-built hostel building and the old hostel building. A new building has been constructed which will be the bridge room simulation for the B.Sc. nautical science students as it is a part of the syllabus. The management has also planned for a swimming pool.
Faculty: Faculty members are good as they are dedicated to students. Maximum of them are retired captains from Merchant Navy. But, one thing is that the number of permanent faculty was very less, and the maximum faculty in our college are visiting faculty. They try to teach us well, but due to some academic issues, they weren't able to support us.
Other: A seminar is conducted at the end of every month. Scholarships were provided to the students according to the merit list.

Infrastructure is really good. Faculty members are very nice.
Placements: I am from the first batch of B.Sc nautical science. However, the college doesn't provide any placements. It is trying to invite companies. B.Sc nautical science department was started in 2016. There are chances of getting placed as the college is trying to contact companies, and the college has sent our resumes too.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The hostel provides facilities like good drinking water. Labs are good. The library is very nice, and it has lots of books related to the field. The library is air-conditioned and is equipped with desktops and internet facility. Classrooms are equipped with whiteboards and projectors. All the sports equipment are available, and we also have a basketball court and volleyball court. The food offered is poor. Hostel rooms are good with two members in each room. There was a problem with the hostel, but it's solved now.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful. You can contact them anytime during college hours and after college hours too. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality and methods of teaching are good. Student to faculty ratio is poor. For the last 3 batches, the student to faculty ratio is 25:3. The college doesn't provide much industry exposure. The curriculum is quite useful and good.
Other: The college doesn't organise any events, fests, and extracurricular activities. As far as the campus crowd of our batch is concerned, Connectivity is good too. The surroundings of the campus are awesome. You will love it. Scholarships are one of the best aspects of our college. If you are good enough, you might end up paying nothing.

It is a good college if you are interested in merchant navy.
Placements: Since I'm from the first batch of this course, there are no previous placement records to show. But, the only response we got about placements is that they are not very good as the expectations from the college administration are high. The college has also assured to provide maximum placements to the deserving candidates. As the university provides STCW courses, placement procedure will hopefully begin after that.
Infrastructure: Facilities in the college are quite good. Although the campus is not huge, the administration is trying hard to provide maximum facilities. A new hostel block has been built with a capacity of accommodating 120 students, and the rooms are provided on a double-sharing basis. The hostel has a mess, recreational room and gym as well. A well built marine workshop is also present in the college. Ashop simulator is under construction, and hopefully, it will be completed soon.
Faculty: Faculty members and staff for all the subjects are good. They pay special attention to all the students, as the number of students is limited to only 40 which proves to be an advantage. Faculty members teach from their prepared notes. Captains teach the shipping subjects to students.
Other: Events conducted in the college are not very exciting as there are not a lot of students. But, there is participation by students when it comes to representing the university. College fests are also conducted in the college. The campus surroundings are good. The university provides a merit-based prize to the scholars based on their semester results.

You can join Tolani Maritime Institute through IMU CET only. It is mandatory from 2016 for someone to give TMISAT after you pass IMUCET. TMI from 2016 will come under IMU and not under BITS. So, you can't get admission without giving IMUCET. Good luck.
