UID Entrance Exam 2026 is a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) (Tier I), which is conducted in online mode. Candidates who are shortlisted in DAT have to next appear in a Situation Test and Portfolio Evaluation Round (Tier II). Candidates who perform well in all these rounds are then selected for admission to design courses offered at UID.
The DAT is a written paper consisting of both multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and subjective questions. The duration of the UID entrance exam is three hours. The UID DAT 2026 exam was conducted on January 11, 2026. The Tier II (Ahmedabad Campus): Offline Mode: Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE) will be conducted in April-March 2026 and for the NCR Campus, (Offline Mode) Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE), the exam will be conducted in April 2026.

The UID Admission process requires aspirants to clear UID Aptitude Test. Candidates who clear this written test then need to appear for two more rounds, which are:
- Round 1 (Situation Test): Students are given situations based on which they have to make models. They are also given some questions which they have to sketch and answer.
- Round 2 (Portfolio Evaluation): In this admission round, candidates need to appear for personal interviews, wherein they need to carry their portfolios.

UID DAT 2026 Question paper will have the following sections: English Language, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. There will be 20 questions in english section, 15 in Quantitavtive question, and 15 in the Logical Reasoning section.
