Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) admission process for UID DAT 2026 is open for other categories. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may fill out the UID DAT 2026 application form. To apply for UID DAT 2026, the candidate will have to register, fill in all relevant information, upload documents, and pay the application fees.
UID DAT online entrance exam was on January 11, 2026. Candidates can log in using Candidate ID or Application ID and Password. It is conducted in two Tiers: Tier I and Tier II. The candidate had to appear in the Tier I exam first. The exam was administered online and carried 100 marks. If a candidate is shortlisted, he will have to next appear in the Tier II exam, which will include a Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE). It will be conducted at UID Campus based on the preference given by the candidate in the UID application form 2026.

What is UID Design Aptitude Test?
Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) conducts the UID Design Aptitude Test for admission to design courses offered at the following campuses - UID Ahmedabad Campus and UID NCR Campus. B.Des (Hons), M.Des, and Ph.D. courses are offered at the UID Ahmedabad Campus, whereas the UID NCR campus offers a B.Des (Hons) course.
Admission to UID is a two-tier process. The candidates first appear for UID DAT (Design Aptitude Test). Shortlisted candidates next have to appear in a Situation Test and Portfolio Evaluation round.

The application form for UID DAT 2026 is open. To fill out the UID DAT application form
- Register: Register on website of the exam using details such as their full name, email ID, and mobile number.
- Fill out the application form: In the application, fill in personal details, communication addresses, and parents' information.
- Upload documents: Upload the scanned photo in JPG/JPEG/PNG/GIF format; the size should be less than 1 MB.
- Pay the application fee: The application fee is INR 2,000 (NRI/NRI Spons. / Mgmt. candidates need to pay INR 3,000). The available payment options are Cards (Credit/Debit), Net Banking, Wallet, Paytm, and UID.

Topics for UID DAT Preparation
Some of the topics for UID DAT Entrance exam are given below.
- Visualization and spatial reasoning: The question will be based on ability to visualise and transform 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships.

Candidates need to download the UID Aptitude Test 2026 admit card from the official website of UID. They need to carry their UID exam ticket with them for the Design Aptitude Test. They also need to show the exam ticket issued by the college to the exam supervisor. If any candidate does not have the UID entrance exam admit card he/she might not be allowed to take the entrance exam.
Give UID Aptitude Test
UID Aptitude Test for B.Design and M.Design is a 2-tier test. The first tier is the design aptitude test (DAT) and the end tier is the Situation Test & Portfolio Evaluation. This design aptitude test comprises both multiple-choice questions and descriptive questions.
Students who have qualified UCEED, NID, NIFT entrance exams for B.Des and M.Des degree programs are eligible for direct portfolio.
