Will NTA release the recorded responses for NIFT 2025?

The NTA will release the recorded responses for the NIFT 2025 written exam before the declaration of results. The recorded responses can be downloaded online from the NTA website - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. To download the recordedd responses, log in using your application number and date of birth. The NTA will also release the NIFT 2025 question paper along with the recorded responses. The recorded responses can be used by the candidate to calculate the number of correct attempts, and consequently the probable score.

Can I submit objections against NIFT 2025 final key?

NTA doesn't allow any objection window against the final key. This means, the keys included in the final key are final and officially the correct answers to questions asked in the GAT exam. The FINAL answer key of NIFT 2025 will be released tentatively in the 4th week of April 2025. The candidate can use the answers given in the final key to calculate the number of correct attempts and consequently the probable score. Note, the NTA will release the recorded responses and NIFT 2025 QP around the 3rd week of February 2025.

Will the NIFT 2025 answer key be released for both the GAT and CAT tests?

The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) releases answer keys only for the computer-based GAT test. No answer key are released for the offline-based CAT paper. The answer key has to be downloaded online from the NIFT admission portal - niftadmissions. In. Also, the keys are released separately for the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses. The key will contain the official answers to questions asked in the entrance exam.

When will NIFT 2025 (Final) answer key be released?

The NTA will release the NIFT 2025 answer key (FINAL) in April 2025. The final key will be released after considering objections filed by the candidate. Note that there is no provision to challenge the final answer key. So, the keys included in the FINAL answer key of NIFT 2025 will be considered to the correct and official answers. What are the various NIFT rank lists released by the National Institute of Fashion Technology?

The National Institute of Fashion Technology will release category wise merit lists. These includes the Common Merit Rank (CMR), GEN EWS Rank List, OBC NCL Rank List, SC Rank List, ST Rank List, CMR PwD List, OBC NCL PwD Rank List, SC PwD Rank List, and ST PwD Rank list. The general category candidate will not be considered for admission under reserved category seats. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will also be considered for admission under the CMR category. What happens if an answer key is found to be incorrect in NIFT 2025 answer key?

When the NIFT 2025 answer key was released for the GAT paper, the candidate was also be given the option to file objections. Objections had to be filed online through the candidate portal. The candidate had to furnish proper proof supporting their claims. If the challenge filed by the candidate is found to be correct and the answer key is incorrect, the admission committee will delete the key. Also, the correct key (s) is released in the final key. Note that the scores of the candidate will be calculated using the revised key only. However, the fee paid by the candidate will not be refunded.

What details will be mentioned in NIFT 2025 result?

NTA will declare the FINAL results of NIFT 2025 for the B.Des program around the 2nd week of May 2025. The final results for the M.Des program will be announced around the 1st week of May 2025. The result will include details like the name, roll number, and signature of the candidate. Importantly, it will contain the sectional and overall scores, merit rank of the candidate, and the qulalifying status. Only such candidates who have qualified the written exam and appeared in the Situation Test/ Personal Interview will be included in the final results. Note that the FINAL resullt will be prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in the written exam and Personal Interview/ Situation Test.

Can I appear in Situation Test/PI if I don't qualify the NIFT written exams?

The Situation Test/ Personal Interview (PI) are the 2nd stage of the NIFT 2025 entrance exam. Candidates were shortlisted for the Situation Test/ PI based on the NIFT 2025 written exam scores. Note that if the candidate fails to qualify for the 2nd stage, he or she is not considered for admission to various design courses offered by the NIFTs. The only expection is B.F.Tech program, where the merit list for admission will be prepared solely on the basis of GAT scores. In the case of other courses, the merit list will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and Situation Test/ PI.

The NTA also releases the recorded responses for the NIFT exam. The recorded responses are the corbon copy of the candidate’s answer sheet. The recorded responses are meant to bring transparency to the conduct of the NIFT entrance exam. For instance, the candidate can’t be unfairly penalized or awarded marks, as the answer sheets will be in the public. It is because the candidate can challenge the result if there is an anomaly. Further, the candidate can use the NIFT recorded responses to correctly calculate their probable scores.

What is the basis of NIFT 2025 seat allotment process?

Meanwhile, the NIFT 2024 final results are announced for the PG courses. Note that the written exam results had got delayed. While the NIFT 2024 written exam was conducted on February 5, 2024, the results were finally declared on March 20, 2024. Note that results of exams like JEE Main, which is also conducted by the NTA, are typically declared within a few days of the exam. One big concern students had regarding the delay in the NIFT 2024 exams was that the upcoming admission schedule could be cramped. If that had happened, the student would have got very limited time to prepare for the situation test/ personal interview. The other concern was if a students had failed to qualify in the written exams, he also would have limited time to plan his or her next course of action.

In the scenario two or more candidates score the same marks in NIFT, then tie-breaker policy will be applied. The marks scored by the candidate in tests with higher weightage will be considered to break the tie. For example, for the B. Des programme, marks obtained in the CAT exam will be compared to break the tie. If the marks obtained in the CAT are equal, then marks obtained in GAT will be considered. How to calculate probable scores using the NIFT 2025 answer key for GAT?

The NIFT 2025 answer key will be released programme-wise for the GAT test. The candidate needs to download the answer key for their respective program. Next, the candidate can compare their answers with the official version to calculate the number of correct attempts. Then using the official marking scheme, the candidate will be able to calculate probable scores. The probable scores can be used by the candidate to access one chances of admission.

Will NTA release the NIFT 2025 question paper?

The NTA will release the NIFT 2025 question paper for the written exam along with the answer key. The question paper will be made available before the declaration of exam results. NIFT Result 2025 will be declared soon by NTA on the official website of NTA and NIFT. The exact date of NIFT 2025 result has not been shared by the NTA. The direct link to check NIFT 2025 results will be provided here. Candidates will have to log in to the result portal using their application number and date of birth to download their scorecard.

Q: Can I apply for recheck of NIFT results?

Typically there is no option to apply for recheck of NIFT 2025 results.

However, if the candidate has any doubts, they are allowed to challenge the answer key. Note that the NIFT answer keys for GAT paper of the written exam will be released sometime in April 2025.

The exam conducting body in this case may look at the answer key and make changes if needed.

However, there will be no provision to recheck NIFT final results.

On reason for this may be because the Situation Test is a subjective-test. For that matter, the CAT also doesn't have any ideal solutions and so can be opened to a recheck.

Q: When can I download the NID DAT 2025 answer sheets?

The National Institite of Design (NID) will release the answer sheets of the candidate after the declaration of the FINAL results. Further, the answer sheets will only be available on request, only after the admission process is complete.

The answer sheet is not be issued during the admission process.

To request the answer sheet for the admission cycle 2025-26, the candidate has to make a payment of INR 1000 online/ per exam. The candidate will also have to furnish the NID DAT 2025 admit card duly signed by the invigilator and seal of the exam center with the request.

The answer sheet will be sent to the candidate within 15-20 days after receiving the payment.

The National Institute of Design will, however, not release any answer keys for the DAT Prelims exam.

NIFT 2025 Result - Benefit marks for wrong questions

The NTA will release the answer key and question paper of NIFT 2025 after the conclusion of the written exam.

If a question asked in the NIFT 2025 exam, for any reason, is found to be wrong, then the benefit of marks will be given to only those candidates who attempted the question. On examining the challenges by the subject experts, if it is found that along with the original answer key, one more option(s) is correct, then marks will be awarded to all those candidates who have attempted any one of the correct options.
No grievances/ representation about the Answer Key(s) will be entertained after NIFT 2025 results are declared.

NIFT Entrance Exam 2025 Tie-Breaker Policy

If two or more candidates score the same marks, then the merit ranks will be determined based on the following tie-break criteria.

The marks scored by the candidate in tests with higher weightage will be considered to break the tie. For instance, for the B.Des program, marks obtained in the CAT exam will be compared to break the tie.
If the marks obtained in the CAT are equal, then the marks obtained in the GAT will be considered.
If the tie is still undecided at this stage, then marks obtained subject-wise in the following order will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability,
Analytical Ability &General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

NIFT 2025 Final Results

The NIFTEE 2025 final answer key and result are expected to be announced soon on the official website: exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. The final answer key will address objections raised during the provisional phase, and results will follow shortly after. Candidates are advised to stay tuned for real-time updates on scorecards, cutoff marks, and counseling details.

For the B.F.Tech program, only GAT exam scores will be considered for preparing the final results. The final results of the B.Des program will be prepared by giving weightage to the GAT, CAT, and Situation Test. On the other hand, the NIFT 2024 final result of the M.Des program will be prepared by giving weightage to GAT, CAT, and Interview. Meanwhile, the final results for the M.F.Tech and M.F.M programs are prepared by considering GAT and Interview performance.

NTA Weeding Out Rules: NIFT 2025 Exam Records to Be Preserved for 90 Days

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced its weeding out policy for the NIFT Entrance Examination 2025. According to the guidelines, the records related to the NIFT 2025 exam will be preserved for only 90 days from the date of result declaration. After this period, all data, including answer sheets and score details, may be discarded as part of the routine record management process.

Candidates are advised to download and securely store their NIFT 2025 scorecards and other essential documents within this 90-day window. Once the preservation period expires, no requests for records or result copies will be entertained by the NTA.
