UID Entrance Exam 2026 is a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) (Tier I), which is conducted in online mode. Candidates who are shortlisted in DAT have to next appear in a Situation Test and Portfolio Evaluation Round (Tier II). Candidates who perform well in all these rounds are then selected for admission to design courses offered at UID.

The DAT is a written paper consisting of both multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and subjective questions. The duration of the UID entrance exam is three hours. The UID DAT 2026 exam will be conducted on January 11, 2026. The Tier II (Ahmedabad Campus): Offline Mode: Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE) will be conducted in April-March 2026 and for the NCR Campus, (Offline Mode) Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE), the exam will be conducted in April 2026.

The UID Admission process requires aspirants to clear UID Aptitude Test. Candidates who clear this written test then need to appear for two more rounds, which are:

Round 2 (Portfolio Evaluation): In this admission round, candidates need to appear for personal interviews, wherein they need to carry their portfolios.
