The placements in UIET aren't great as many companies don't offer any placements to the students of this college.

Till now, this college is satisfactory.
Placements: In the last two batches, about 70% of students got placed, but not at a good pay grade. The highest package is 5.5 LPA and the lowest is around 3 LPA. Recruiting companies are paint companies, cement, etc. Almost all chemical engineers' roles are offered in different industries to most of our seniors.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are decent, with Wi-Fi and a smart board. Hostels are decent, there are double-sharing rooms (well spacious) and a mess which provides you with food, and there are playgrounds for playing and keeping you guys physically fit. The mess food is decent.
Faculty: In our course, the teachers are good and qualified from a reputed institute, some are from IITs and NITs. The course curriculum is relevant to date, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are of a moderately difficult level. Almost everyone who attends a college lecture passes the exam very easily.
Other: Interested in field work more. They have to focus more on practical knowledge. Everything is organized by the different clubs of the university.

Students who prefer a good campus life with a low JEE rank can consider this college.
Placements: In the case of placements, the conditions are very disappointing for all branches, including core CSE and AI-related branches. I think only 40-50% of students are getting offers in CSE. In terms of CTC, we also face disappointment, as the maximum offers are around 4 to 5 LPA, even for students with 10, 9, or 8 CGPA. However, a few students beyond that are doing well. This year, a hackathon[SIH] winner is from CSJMU. Mostly, sales companies visit, which does not fulfill students' expectations.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good in the college. You can compare it with IITs, NITs, and many good private colleges. Labs are also quite good, and the campus is fully Wi-Fi-connected. The library is also quite good. In the case of hostels, you can compare them with any private college. They are decent or even too good. Both AC and non-AC categories are available. Laundry facilities are also provided by the college starting this year. The canteen is also quite good. Overall, facilities are at a decent level.
Faculty: Most faculty are supportive, and some teach quite good. But if we look at the courses, they are quite old, which is not enough for this competitive era. Students also lack skills, so they fail to qualify for the companies that visit.
Other: Events – 3.5/5, campus life – 4/5, connectivity – 4/5, activities – 4/5. The only issue right now is the lack of placements, which is being faced by almost every college. Some politics can also be seen in hostels, like in the mess, but not the typical neta type.

Decent university with good faculty, satisfactory placements, and a peaceful campus life.
Placements: In my course at CSJMU, approximately 50-60% of students were placed through campus recruitment drives. The highest package offered was around 6 LPA, while the average package ranged between 2.5-3.5 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies included TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and Byju's. Around 40% of students also got internships in companies such as Internshala, HCL, and local startups. The most common roles offered were in software development, sales and marketing, customer support, and teaching assistant positions. Placement support is decent, but more company tie-ups and industry exposure would be beneficial.
Infrastructure: CSJMU has a fairly good infrastructure for academics as well as hostels. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, and the labs are decently equipped. Classrooms are spacious with projectors in some departments, and the library is well-stocked with academic and reference books. Hostel facilities are satisfactory with proper security, clean rooms, and a good maintenance team. The mess provides decent food, although variety can be improved. There are good medical facilities, a gym, sports grounds, and indoor games available. Overall, the campus is well-maintained and student-friendly.
Faculty: The faculty at CSJMU is experienced and supportive. Most professors are qualified and try to explain the concepts in a simple and effective manner, though the teaching style can vary from department to department. The curriculum is aligned with UGC standards and provides a basic foundation for industry, but it may lack practical exposure and needs more updated content. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and with consistent study, it's not hard to pass. The overall pass percentage is around 70-80%, depending on the course and subject.

It is a good college if you have a low percentile and coming for higher studies.
Placements: Placements are decent. You can expect good placements if you yourself have given constant efforts for the whole year. Most students go for higher studies through GATE CAT. We do have some of the rankers in GATE through CSE and ECE branches of quiet.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, and you can expect good facilities. There are only two hostels for boys and four for girls. The cleanliness is good, and the food is also satisfactory. The mess staff are well-behaved, and the quality is okay sometimes good, sometimes bad. A canteen is also available.
Faculty: Exams are conducted on time, and the curriculum is well-updated. The faculty is well-behaved, qualified, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant to 2025, but it is not industry-rated. Semester exams depend on the student, and several industry-related seminars are held in the auditorium.

    The fee is very affordable.
Placements: Placements are average, with most offers from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. The average package is 3-4 LPA; very few placement calls and not very proactive. You need to rely on off-campus efforts and coding skills. Very limited support is arranged.
Infrastructure: Hostels offer basic facilities; Wi-Fi and mess are available, but not premium. CSE labs are functional with decent computers, and for 1st-year and outstation students, the collection and labs are good but not top-tier. Basic amenities are shared.
Faculty: The faculty is a mix of experienced and average teachers, mostly supportive. The curriculum is updated with core CS subjects and new electives like AI/ML. Some professors are excellent and supportive, especially in core subjects like OS and DBMS, while a few are average and mainly read from slides.
Other: The crowd is friendly and studious, mostly from UP and nearby states. The campus is green and peaceful. They are making it one of the best options for students aiming for quality education.

The campus life is fantastic. We can get admission with low ranks.
Placements: As per last year, the highest package is 18 LPA. The average package is 3 LPA. Not more than 7-8 people received more than 10 LPA, and everyone else got less than 7 LPA. Not many reputed companies visited the college. Only TCS, reliance, and some local companies hire students. But still, most CSE students get placed off campus if equipped with skills. I know a few of our seniors passing out this year, and they got internships and placement offers but they did study themselves for it. To sum up, we have to skill up ourselves and grab decent packages.
Infrastructure: I would highly rate the infrastructure as buildings are newly built and well-maintained. Our stadium is being rebuilt for the university. All departments have their separate buildings but classes for 1st years take place either at the lecture hall complex or academic building. Labs are good enough. We are allowed in computer labs before timings with permission. The hostel is good and clean. We stay with 2 boys in one room. It has 2 floors and a total 4 blocks. Every floor has its own separate 5 bathrooms and separate toilets with wash basins. It has a volleyball ground.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are pretty good. Some of them take their classes very seriously, and some are chilled professors. Exams are easy enough, and the questions come from class notes of teachers and we can get 7 CGPA in one night. Attendance criteria are not mandatory but some teachers take them seriously so it becomes important to attend classes as they give internal marks on their own by attendance. The course curriculum is outdated as other colleges but if we study on our own, it won't be a problem.
Other: I chose it as I got low marks in JEE Main and I am from Bihar. I did not want to go to private colleges. Things that could be improved are practical exposure with more industrial visits, research opportunities, and workshops, which would greatly enhance learning. It should make use of technology by incorporating smart classes, simulation tools, and online learning resources, which can make the course more interactive and up-to-date. The inclusion of trending fields like data science, artificial intelligence, and interdisciplinary studies, would add more value. More structured career counseling and placement support are needed.
