UIET does not offers any Master of Business Administration program. However, it offers five-year integrated Bachelor of Engineering (chemical)-Master of Business Administration course. A total of 56 seats are available for the five-year integrated Bachelor of Engineering (chemical)-Master of Business Administration course.

No other major university in the region is allowing students to pursue two academic programmes simultaneously so far and it is said that PU may be the first one to do so. The guidelines were issued in line with the objectives envisaged by the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) The guidelines were issued to allow students to pursue two academic programmes simultaneously in line with the objectives envisaged by the National Education Policy (NEP-2020). However, the guidelines are applicable only to the students pursuing academic programmes other than Ph.D. programmes. As per the UIET Chandigarh, cutoff for Round 4 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BE specialisations ranged from 44170 to 146444. The most competitive specialisation has been Computer Science and Engineering with a closing rank of 44170, followed by Information Technology with 53185 rank.

Analysis of cut offs for previous years for Computer Science and Engineering reveals that, UIET Chandigarh has seen a declining trend compared to 2022. When compared from 2021 to 2022, it shows improving trend. The Cutoff for Computer Science and Engineering in Round 4 was 36201 in 2021 and 34583 in 2022 respectively.

Yes, According to Punjab B.Tech reservation criteria 2023, a certain percentage of seats is reserved for candidates belonging to different categories. Candidates are advised to check the reservation criteria for Punjab B.Tech beforehand. Candidates have to mention their category while filling out the application form of Punjab B.Tech admission. Yes, UIET Chandigarh considers JEE Main for admission to BE course. Selected candidates are further required to participate in JAC Counselling. As per the BE Cutoff 2024, the most popular specialisation among the General All India Category was BE in Computer Science & Engineering while the least popular was BE in Biotechnology. 

UIET Chandigarh offers four-year BE course divided into eight semesters. The institute offers BE in different specialisations. Below is BE eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must pass Class 12 or equivalent with five subjects, namely Hindi, English, Punjabi or any other language and Physics, Mathematics or any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject to apply for UIET BE.
• Aspirants who have completed Class 10 followed by Diploma with Mathematics as compulsory subject can also apply.

UIET Chandigarh accepts B.Tech admission as per JEE Main score followed by JAC Chandigarh Counseling. JAC Chandigarh 3rd round of seat allotment has been released. University Institute of Engineering and Technology is a public institute, established in 2002 and is approved by AICTE.

For MBA at UIET Chandigarh, candidates will require a minimum score of 50% in the Bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The bachelor's degree can be in any discipline. If the university from where you got your Bachelor's degree gives an aggregate grade instead of marks, then that grade should be equivalent to 50% marks. 

UIET also accepts CAT score for MBA.

There are a total of 580 seats for BE courses. Out of the total intake, some seats are reserved for various categories. The seat allotment is done based on merit in JEE Main. UIET reserves the right to revise the seat count in an academic year. Below is BE specialisation-wise intake:
