Satisfied with the teaching and placements, but very bad infrastructures.
Placements: The placements are fairly good, and every year, it's definitely more than 85%. The number of companies visiting will be growing up in the years to come, and the internships are available, in case, the students are not placed during the placement drives with this conversion possibility is high.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is really pathetic. It had very bad benches, desks, and seating. The classrooms are almost 100 years old without proper renovation. The toilets are not very clean. It had a bad library and poor canteen and no proper stationaries inside the campus. No proper facilities and amenities are present that are required by current day students.
Faculty: The faculty members are good, but usually, the research scholars would take the classes, but the portions won't always be completed. There are a few teachers who teach fabulously well to the students and are really friendly. However, the assignments, attending internals are compulsory but the corrections are fairly good and students friendly.
Other: The fests are good, and there will be two fests at least each year. One will be a technical fest, and the other would be the cultural fest.

Very good college with proficient faculty members and delightful placement opportunities.
Placements: UVCE is a renowned college in Karnataka and it is affiliated with Bangalore University. UVCE has a good background of placements. When it comes to ranking among the colleges, it stands in top 5. Obviously in any college ranking, placements plays a significant role. UVCE has an average placement of about 80% for undergraduates. For Masters, the placement percentage is around 60%. Average salary offered to students is around 4 LPA. Around 10 to 12 core companies comes for recruitment.
Infrastructure: UVCE has the legacy of 100 years with a beautiful campus and soothing ambiance. Labs are well maintained and class rooms are good. UVCE has the biggest library I have ever seen till now. It has a good collection of books from very rare additions to newly published books. Sports and games facilities are not that much good.
Faculty: It has senior faculty members with super knowledge and great experience. They are very helpful and shares great knowledge. All the faculty members have a vast knowledge in their field and they generously shares their knowledge to the students, which helps other students to build their concepts in their respective field of interest.
Other: The college is situated at the heart of city, so there is no convenience problems. While perusing any degree from any college, one must have good academics so that he /she can be able to apply for each and every company that visits the campus. Making good percentage requires some more effort but after that at the end, one realises the value of that effort.

Other: Good placement, which is best in the city but bad infrastructure which is poor. The fee is very less. Good scholarship facilities. The faculty is good but you should bother them more to get stuff. Examination is strict. People do fail. But a good place to study. Placement can trade of every bad aspect of the college.

Other: The civil engineering department is located at the Bangalore university campus. The surrounding area is covered in greenery. As one approaches the building, we observe that the building was built a long time ago. Going only by the appearance it may be difficult to judge the infrastructure of the college. But the truth is that the college boasts about big class rooms, well equipped and furnished laboratories having all the experiments apparatus, and samples for testing and reporting purpose. One can observe anytime during the working hours and sometimes on holidays research scholars, post-graduate as well as graduate students conducting the experiments. The civil engineering departments boast about its well qualified and experienced faculty members.

It is the only college offering BE/ME under Bangalore university with very good campus placement opportunities.

Q:   What happens if a student fails internal exams at the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering?
    ShikshaGPT says
    A:

I can provide you with some general insights on what typically happens when a student fails internal exams at a college or university:

    1. Academic Support: When a student fails internal exams, the first step is often to provide academic support and guidance. The college may offer remedial classes, tutoring, or mentoring programs to help the student improve their understanding of the subject and enhance their performance.

    2. Repeat Examinations: In some cases, UVCE may provide opportunities for students to appear for repeat examinations or supplementary exams for the failed subjects. The specific policies regarding repeat examinations, including eligibility criteria, exam scheduling, and maximum number of attempts, would be outlined in the academic regulations.

    3. Academic Probation: If a student consistently fails internal exams or fails to meet the minimum academic requirements, they may be placed on academic probation. Academic probation is a warning period during which the student's academic progress is closely monitored. It may come with certain conditions, such as maintaining a minimum grade point average (GPA) or meeting specific academic requirements within a specified period.

    4. Academic Counseling: UVCE may assign academic advisors or counselors to students who are struggling academically. These professionals can provide guidance and support, helping the student identify areas for improvement, develop study strategies, and make informed decisions about their academic path.

    5. Academic Warning or Dismissal: In severe cases of academic underperformance or repeated failure in internal exams, UVCE may issue an academic warning or even dismiss the student from the program. The specific criteria for academic warning or dismissal would be outlined in the college's academic regulations.

It is important to note that the consequences for failing internal exams can vary among institutions, and UVCE may have its own unique policies in place. To get accurate and detailed information about the specific consequences and procedures followed at UVCE, it is recommended to consult the official documentation provided by the college or reach out to the academic affairs department or registrar's office for clarification.
