I am dissatisfied because of the infrastructure, facilities, and placement training.
Placements: Only about 30 to 40% of the students get placed in other departments like IT, CSE, and ECE. For our course, no core company visits the campus, only software companies come for campus interviews. The highest salary package is 8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 to 4 LPA. About 20% of students got internshipS. Top roles offered are developer, and process designer.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi on the campus and the network coverage is also very poor, only Airtel and BSNL networks are available. The library is good and maintained well. Hostel food is not good enough, only private canteens are available for day scholars. Sports and games are not much encouraged.
Faculty: A few teachers here are friendly and qualified. We do the miniature module of those industries, reactors, and other equipment in labs. Teachers are helpful, but you have to approach them. On our own we have to prepare for examinationS, teachers will help a little, but we have to put in our efforts and don't expect them to teach us like in school.
Other: I chose chemical engineering because of the many job opportunities around the world. Rather than theoretical studies, more practical studies and internships will be more helpful.

Thank God they grew taught me the basics of chemical engineering, what can I expect for a Tier 3 col
Placements: I did my Bachelor's in Technology and my domain knowledge in Chemical Engineering and I'm a 2018 passed out.
1. ). Less than 40% of students were placed in core companies, and another 10 to 15% got placed in IT-related sectors
2. ). The highest 4LPA, the lowest 1.8 LPA Average 2.5 LPA (approximately. )
3. ). Shinsung Petrochemicals Private limited, Thirumalai Petrochemicals, Dow Chemical Company are the major recruiting companies.
4. ). Graduate Engineer trainee, Process Engineer are the roles offered.
5. The highest package is 6 LPA, the lowest 1.7 LPA and the average 3.5LPA (approximately).
6. ). Less than 30% of students got internships and the companies are Strides Shasun, Steel Authority of India Limited, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited.
Infrastructure: 1. )Good hostel rooms with single, triple & four sharing. A. C facilities available it opted, 24*7 Wi-fi facilities available, there are separate study rooms which can be 24*7 open for students.
2. ). Quality of food in hostel is can be rated at 7/10 you get Non-Veg for times a week. Good food. But the same timetable for food will be repeated every week. , Separate medical centre is available for students 24*7, Doctors will be available at day time and shift nurses are available 24*7. You don't have a separate sports facilities for hostels, the sports facility of the college can be utilised anytime.
Faculty: 1. ). The teachers of the chemical engineering department are qualified from well reputed universities. They are knowledgeable about the subjects to a particular level but they aren't pro in the stream. The teaching quality is 2.5/10
2. ). The course curriculum is relevant as the college is affiliated to Anna University. ( as mentioned above the college curriculum doesn't teach you chemical engineering as of in a premium tier college) From making the students industrially ready my course is lagging a bit. There is no advanced software skills i.e., Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, MatLab is taught in the course.
Other: 1. )I was passionate about chemical engineering so I opted it. Chemical Engineers create everything that is used in day to day life.
2. ). Things like advancement & recent hotspots of the course can be taught that can make students industry-ready
3. ). We had a single Department Conference & a single cultural fest for the whole college. It is not easily connected to the City. Campus and surroundings are peaceful.
