The food is difficult to habituate for people from the Telugu state.
Placements: On average, 50-60% of the students get placed every year. The highest package will be around 60-70 LPA. Almost every main development company visits this college for internships and placements. The students who get selected for internships have a higher chance of getting placed.
Infrastructure: Every hostel will have separate Wi-Fi systems. Students will be allowed to change their mess option each month. Dhobi service will be provided three times a month. Only labs will have air conditioning. Normal classrooms do not have air conditioning. Not all the facilities are good here.
Faculty: VIT conducts exams in a very strict and mannered way. It is very hard for an average student to survive in this college. Not all faculty will teach well. Only 1 out of 10 will be a good teacher. There will be 2 mid-semester and one final exam per semester.
Other: I took the core Computer Science and Engineering course at this college. I took this course because I was interested in this side of engineering rather than the electrical and mechanical side.

Amazing social life with amazing faculty and average placements.
Placements: In my batch, we have just started our placement training, and so far everything is very useful and informative, but with our passed out students, most of them get placed at an average salary package because of minimal opportunities to appear in final interviews.
Infrastructure: The course and infrastructure with classrooms and labs are top-notch, but with hostels, it's not the same thing. Hostel rooms are very crammed and less spacious. Mainly with hostel food, a lot of students get sick very frequently, and the washrooms don't have proper functioning most of the time around campus.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are highly qualified and very helpful. Their teaching style varies depending on the student, and they do not force us to adapt to their teaching style. The course keeps us ready to survive in the job market and industry. Also, about the semester exams, you can't say it's hard, but you can only score if you study the concepts and the core of the subject with understanding.
Other: The best thing about our college is the social life. We have a variety of clubs and associations in our college, which will help you develop your social skills, learn new experiences, and also help you meet new people and learn about new cultures.

The college is good, strict and academically good.
Placements: Placements are nice. There are super dream packages that are above 10 LPA. The dream package offered is above 8 LPA. If we have a good CGPA and technical skills, we will easily crack good placements. Nearly all students get placements with decent packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice. It has good condition grounds. All types of sports grounds are available. Classrooms are good. It has projectors, speakers, and well-maintained washrooms. Wi-Fi is not available in classrooms. Labs are well maintained and all instruments are top-notch. Computers are high-end.
Faculty: Faculty members are PhD holders so there is no doubt of teaching. The course curriculum is updated and of the latest requirements. There are 3 exams conducted CAT 1, CAT 2, and FAT with 3 DAs. Exams are of 50 marks for both CATs, 100 marks for FAT, and DA of 30 marks each so CAT exam marks are converted into 15%, and 15% percent DA of 100%, and FAT marks into 40%. Then the addition will sum up our marks and depending on the class average our grade will be graded and according to that CGPA will be generated.
Other: There is diversity of students so we will get well-connected.

Decent college to consider.
Placements: The average package for this year is around 11 LPA-12 LPA, with the median package being 10 LPA for CSE. Deloitte, Accenture, and TCS are the top recruiting companies. More than 350 companies have visited the college with more than 4500 offers. More than 300 have been placed for the above 20 LPA package. However, a considerable number of students, i.e., 300, have ended up below 5 LPA as well.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is of good quality with up-to-date computers and air-conditioned labs. Quality of food is highly dependent on personal taste since some like it and some don't, but it is decent for the most part. Big grounds are here for sports, and there are ample opportunities for playing games in daily life, and even in college events. However, one major limitation is the very strict in-time rules followed on campus by 6:00 PM and within hostel by 9:00 PM (for boys), while it is 8:00 PM (for girls).
Faculty: There are 2 mid-sem exams and 1 end-sem. Theory courses are based on relative grading, while the labs are graded on an absolute basis. The second mid-sem is particularly difficult and lengthy, with a low class-average. Teachers are receptive to feedback, however, a majority are strict.
Other: I have chosen B.Tech CSE due to having a passion for pursuing my occupation in this field, particularly web development and graphics. As of now, even in a declining job market, CSE stands at 9 LPA-10 LPA due to the ever-increasing demand. Events are very frequent, usually conducted by various clubs across the college, which you can be a part of, if you want to have a break from your study life. 2 fests are held every year, one of which is technical.

Review of Vellore Institute of Technology - Chennai Campus.
Placements: The placements are great and they do provide placements to multiple MNCs, given that you are pretty good in studies and also maintain a decent CGPA of around 9, which again is not so hard to score at first or to maintain given you remain regular with your studies.
Infrastructure: The course is industry-relevant, and the hostel is well maintained. For the boys' hostel, there are 4 hostel blocks: A, C, D1, and D2. In these hostels, there are 3 types of rooms available, which are 2-bed, 4-bed, and finally six-bed rooms. There are also four types of mess: veg, non-veg, special, and food park. As of now food park is only for boys and girls have only the first three meal options
Faculty: The college faculty members are among the best in the whole of India, as they are all either Ph.D. holders or are under some sort of research, and they are very open. There are 3 sets of exams each semester, these are not so hard to score and can be easily cracked given you put in at least one hour each day. All the exams are relatively marked.
Other: There are mainly 2 festivals, one tech fest TECHNOVIT and one cultural VIBRANCE. The crowd is diverse and great, and there are a lot of clubs and fun activities happening every 2nd week or so.

In general, the majority of engineering schools expect students to have taken math in their 12th grade for B.Tech programs, such as computer science. Nevertheless, certain institutions may have different admission requirements or provide preparatory courses. It's important to review the particular c

Vit doesn't actually release cut-off before the result, you will get a rank based on your viteee score, from that rank you need to sit in counseling on the date given to you by vit via mail.

I don't think so, but if it shows that you are eligible for the counselling, then it depends on the availability of the seats.

VIT entrance examination goes for nearly a week or more than that. Selection will be on daily e-question paper model . If it's hard then the req marks will be less . If it is easy then req marks will be more . Model papers will be available online to check that for the paper model. So we can't say s

There are decent chances for Chennai campus and probably, good chances for CSE/IT. Your chances are less for Vellore campus.

There is very less chance in VIT, Chennai CSE, I think that might be closed under 5000. But you can still sit for counselling, might be you can get something good.
