I love this college campus.
Placements: There is a high possibility of placements due to its big name and skill development programs. Different kinds of roles are offered in our course. Students can be a teacher, an employee, entrepreneurs, or can do government jobs. This is the best place to do the course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing, and the classrooms are fabulous. There is a huge canteen with hygienic and tasty food available. The park is also a good area to study, and the library is suitable for study. The study material is available in it and is worth it.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well qualified. They are the best. They give the best guidance and the best knowledge. They also help students not only in study-related problems but also in their issues as well. They make students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it, and it helped me a lot.

Good Infrastructure, quality education but not so good placements.
Placements: As I have heard from the seniors that placement sector of our college is not good, only toppers from good courses can secure a job in good companies. To secure a job you have to stand out among everyone but I have seen people from our college recieving good packages from companies like Delloite and Genpact.
Infrastructure: The college does not offer any hostel facility. But the infrastructure of our college one of the best in Delhi university as the college has built its new building. Classes are very neat, hygienic and fully air conditioned. Library is very big and have all necessary books and papers, canteen has a good menu, medical facilities are just average as most of the students don't need it.
Faculty: I want to clear one that its only a misconception that evening colleges are not good. My college is as good as any morning off campus college. Teacher are very helpful and knowledgeable, they know how to teach and you can get quality education here from the teachers. College follows the same curriculum that Delhi university provides and the exams are same as any other Delhi university college.
Other: I chose English hons, because I always had an interest in literature. The best thing about my course is that I am studying something I really enjoy, reading books. I have improved my writing skills drastically in just one year so I have no complains. We participate in many debates organised by many colleges. Campus surroungs are really good as it close to Connaught Place, its one of the best hangout spot in Delhi. I haven't seen any extracurricular activities or fest because of covid but they happen every year when every thing was good.

Good faculty, bad infrastructure, and no signs of the new building opening.
Placements: A lot of students were given the B.A. Hons English course, around 30 students, by the 1st mop-up round. A lot of internships are offered in our college with placements. We have our own placement cell on Instagram and WhatsApp that gives updates and information about new internships and companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and canteen are really bad. Most of the food gets over by the time the evening batch comes in, and the classrooms are in horrible condition. Walls have writing all over them, desks are old, fans don't work, and paint is peeling off.
Faculty: The faculty is amazing, especially in English honours. Their language and way of expressing themselves are immaculate. The curriculum is very relevant and improves the speaking skills of students. There are other courses offered with the main course, like social and emotional learning, which help us further. The starting exams weren't very difficult, but a little bit of hard work is definitely needed.

Zakir Husain College is definitely worth taking admissions into it!
Placements: The placements for my course weren't much since most of the students opt for higher studies. But the placement cell is very cooperative and will help you if you want a placement. They conduct workshops from time to time to give students a corporate exposure. The commerce students especially, gets the best placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing. The classrooms vary in sizes, but they all are sufficiently spacious. The furniture here is in great condition, and the campus is really huge. There is no shortage of places to sit in the campus and chill out. The food is great too, it is cheap and delicious. The Safal dairy outlet is amazing too. The canteen staff is friendly as well.
Faculty: I can guarantee of my course that the faculty is amazing. They may seem strict at first, but they become friends really soon. They all are up for help and gives us valuable out of course knowledge during classes too. Psychology and all the Arts departments are great. Botany and Mathematics department is also brilliant.
Other: The location of the college is really good. The surrounding areas of Old Delhi give a real feeling of culture, heritage and adventure. It is also very close to Connaught place, so there is no dearth of places to visit. The events organised are amazing, and the auditorium is one of the bests in the whole of Delhi University. If you're active enough, you'll always find some or other activity for you to take part in.

Supportive faculty, decent college.
Placements: I am pursuing a B.A. (HONS) in English, so we don’t have any placements. As B.A. courses don’t have placements in their field and my college is also following that ritual, but one can definitely learn a lot on this campus as the English faculty is very good.
Infrastructure: We do have a centralized AC library, labs with Wi-Fi, and some classrooms have AC, but some don’t. There is no hostel facility in our college. The college canteen is pretty decent, and we also have a Mother Dairy booth on campus. We have a big playing ground.
Faculty: All the teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and very determined when it comes to studies. The course curriculum is very relevant, and the semester exams are not at all tough. The passing criteria are very similar to other colleges, and you can also give exams if you are not satisfied with your result.
Other: The college is very good, and the campus is great, but they should at least focus on making a hostel so that students can stay there instead of spending more money on staying.

Q:   Is it good to pursue BA in English literature?
ShikshaGPT says
A:
Hi Balaji, Once graduated in B. A. (Hons.) English literature, you could do your M.A. or an MBA. There are several higher study options for meritorious graduates in English language and literature, such as journalism and mass communication; management; tourism administration; law; international relations; linguistics; communication management; film editing and direction; visual communication; and library and information science and forms of creative arts like drama and cinema. You can explore the option of doing some specialised post graduate courses for which graduation is needed in the field of media, multimedia, public relations, foreign languages, teaching, social work, finance, retail, design, hospitality, stocks, aviation etc. based on your interests and strengths. If you have a flair for writing, have good communication skills and a reading habit, journalism or mass communication is a good choice. You could also opt for academic careers like teaching and research and particularly training. English language training is a big and growing sector in India with jobs freelance and full-time options as an English language trainer or a voice and accent trainer. English can also help in being a part of call centres, TV, Radio, reporting and also in the advertising industry. You can also work in an embassy. I hope it helps. Please feel free to revert. Wish you luck.
