NID DAT Registration 2026 (Closed): Correction Window LINK (Closed), Fees, Steps to Edit Online Form

The window to edit the NID DAT 2026 application form is closed now after the application form is closed. Candidates could make some corrections in the NID DAT 2026 application form by accessing the edit window. Only some information in the form can be edited; other details, like name, date of birth, etc., cannot be edited.

As per the amendment made on October 27, 2025, candidates can modify the details filled in the application form, except the Program Applied, Name of the Candidate, Date of Birth, Registered Mobile Number & Registered Email ID when the Window to Edit Application Form' opens.

Candidates will have to pay fees applicable in addition to the application fees if the candidate changes his/her applied category or gender during the "Window to Edit Application Form" period. However, no refund of excess fees will be made in the case of any category or gender change.

Particulars that can be edited include the exam center, address, uploaded documents, etc. So be careful when filling out the form.

Can I Edit the NID Application Form 2026? 

Yes, NID Application form can be edited. The NID 2026 application form for the edit window will open on December 02, 2025 to December 04, 2025. Candidates could use the edit option to make corrections to the application form. However, only certain information using the correction window could be edited.

How to Make Corrections in NID Application Form 2026?

Step 1: Visit the official website of the exam 

Step 2: Log in to the application correction portal using your email ID and date of birth

Step 3: Click on any one of the given options:

• Application Detail - To check the details filled up during Sign-Up
• Upload Document - To upload a scanned photo and signature again
• Print Application - To print the application form again

Step 4: Click on the Save button. 

NID applicants must carefully review the program-wise NID DAT eligibility criteria. The criteria cover requirements like academic qualification, minimum marks, age limit, number of attempts, etc. If the candidate fails to meet the prescribed criteria, he or she could be disqualified.

Process to fill out the NID application form 2026 is given below.

1. Registration: Click on the registration link given above. Select the program of study, and then fill in details like your name, email ID, mobile number, date of birth, etc. On successful registration, a unique applicant account will be created.
2. Log in to fill out the form: You can log in to the account using your email ID and date of birth. Fill in all the required fields in the application form, including educational qualifications, contact details, and personal information. Additionally, you will also have to select an NID 2026 exam center. 
3. Upload documents: In the penultimate step, upload scanned copies of your signature, photograph, and category documents as per the specified format. 
4. Pay the application fee: Check that the application is complete in all respects because once the application fee is paid, the application process will be completed and the application can’t be edited any further.

NID DAT 2026 Application - Submission of Application with Late Fees

The deadline to pay the NID DAT 2026 application with regular fees will be in the first week of December 2025 (Tentatively). For applications submitted after the deadline, a late fee amount will be levied. This amount will be in addition to the application fee. The late fee amount is equivalent to 50% of the application fee.

To fill out the NID DAT 2026 application form, the candidate will need the following documents.

The NID DAT Prelims 2026 will be conducted in the following cities across India:

Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jorhat, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi and Patna.

 A city can have more than one NID DAT 2026 test centre. NID also reserves the right to add or remove any test centre and allot a test centre that may not be of the candidate’s choice. A city may have more than one test centre. The chosen test centre can be changed only during the ‘Window to Edit Application Form’. Any request for change of test centre will not be entertained once the ‘Window to Edit Application Form’ closes. The NID DAT admit card will have the details of the centre where the exam will be held.
