ITM-IDM Entrance Exam Pattern 2025- The ITM Institute of Design and Media will release the exam pattern for the ITM-IDM 2025 entrance exam. The exam pattern will cover elements like the mode of the exam, types of questions asked, section-wise questions, weightage, and marking scheme. It is therefore important that the candidate consults the official exam pattern of ITM-IDM 2024 to prepare for the design entrance exam.Â
The ITM-IDM entrance exam has three parts - Common Intelligence Test (CIT), a personal interview, and portfolio screening, and/or a situation test. However, earlier, a Creative Aptitude Test (CAT) was also conducted by the institute for evaluating candidates' drawing skills, but now a portfolio screening and/or a situation test is conducted. All three parts of the entrance exam are conducted on the same day.

ITM-IDM entrance exam is conducted in online mode. Candidates are given a duration of two hours to complete the written exam. The total marks that candidates can score in the exam are 100. Go through the complete paper-wise ITM-IDM entrance exam pattern below:

Portfolio Screening and/or a Situation Test Pattern
After appearing for the written exam, candidates need to appear for the Portfolio Screening and/or a Situation Test round. They are required to upload their portfolios on the website. The submitted digital portfolio will be reviewed by a panel of interviewers. This panel will have experienced individuals from the design field. The portfolio may contain
- Sketches, mixed-media illustrations, and digital work
- Collaging of images, 2D and 3D articles
- Photography
- 3D objects like sculptures, fabric products, gadgets, art-inspired products, etc.
After this round, candidates will have to appear for an interview. Candidates will be asked questions related to the programme they have opted for and the portfolios uploaded.
