ITM-IDM Entrance Exam Pattern 2026 - The ITM Institute of Design and Media will release the exam pattern for the ITM-IDM 2026 entrance exam. The exam pattern will cover elements like the mode of exam, types of questions asked, section-wise questions, weightage and marking scheme. It is therefore important that the candidate consults the exam pattern of ITM-IDM to prepare for the design entrance exam.

ITM-IDM entrance exam has three parts - Common Intelligence Test (CIT), a personal interview, and portfolio screening, and/or a situation test.

ITM-IDM Entrance Exam Pattern 2026

ITM-IDM entrance exam is conducted in online mode. Candidates are given a duration of two hours to complete the written exam. The total marks that candidates can score in the exam are 100. Go through the complete paper-wise ITM-IDM entrance exam pattern below.

ITM-IDM Portfolio Screening and/or a Situation Test Pattern

After appearing in ITM_IDM written exam, candidates need to appear for Portfolio Screening and/or a Situation Test round. They are required to upload their portfolios on the website. A panel of interviewers will review the submitted digital portfolio. This panel will have experienced individuals from the design field. The portfolio may contain

Sketches, mixed-media illustrations and digital work
Collaging of images, 2D and 3D articles
Photography
3D objects like sculptures, fabric products, gadgets, art-inspired products, etc.

After this round, candidates will have to appear for ITM IDM interview. Candidates will be asked questions related to the programme they have opted for and the portfolios uploaded.
