ITM-IDM Entrance Exam Pattern 2026 - The ITM Institute of Design and Media will release the exam pattern for the ITM-IDM 2026 entrance exam. The exam pattern will cover elements like the mode of exam, types of questions asked, section-wise questions, weightage and marking scheme. It is therefore important that the candidate consults the exam pattern of ITM-IDM to prepare for the design entrance exam.
ITM-IDM entrance exam has three parts - Common Intelligence Test (CIT), a personal interview, and portfolio screening, and/or a situation test.

ITM-IDM Entrance Exam Pattern 2026

ITM-IDM Portfolio Screening and/or a Situation Test Pattern
After ITM_IDM written exam, candidates will have to appear for Portfolio Screening and/or a Situation Test round. They are required to upload their portfolios. A panel of interviewers will review the submitted digital portfolio. The portfolio may contain
- Sketches, mixed-media illustrations and digital work
- Collaging of images, 2D and 3D articles
- Photography
- 3D objects like sculptures, fabric products, gadgets, art-inspired products, etc.
After this round, candidates will have to appear for ITM IDM interview. Candidates will be asked questions related to the programme they have opted for and the portfolios uploaded.
