UCEED Application Form 2027 - IIT Bombay will start the UCEED 2027 Application for B.Des programme on October 01, 2026. Candidates can fill the application form with regular and late fees. To fill UCEED 2027 Application form, candidates are required to register and fill in personal and academic information, select UCEED 2027 test centers, upload documents, and pay fee.
UCEED 2027 application fee will be around INR 4,000 for General and INR 2,000 for reserved and female candidates. IIT Bombay will close the registration process for UCEED 2027 with regular fees in the first week of November 2026 and with late fees in the second week of November 2026
UCEED entrance exam will be conducted on January 17, 2027, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Steps to Fill UCEED Application Form 2027
Registration: Oct ' 26
Application form for UCEED 2027 will open in October 01, 2027. Candidates who meet eligibility criteria for B.Des program need to follow steps given below to apply for UCEED admission 2027.
- Click on UCEED registration link. Enter email ID and click on Register button. An activation link will be sent to your registered email address.
- On clicking link, you will be redirected to a page where you have to fill additional details like name, DOB, gender, mobile number, etc.
- Select and confirm a password for new applicant's account.
- Once you submit all details, registration process will be complete
- Candidate has to fill their personal details, like Birth category, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) status, PwD status, Email address, Mobile number, etc.
- They need to provide their education related details, like year of passing, name of college, school, etc.
- A maximum of three test cities can be selected in order of preference. Any requests for a change in UCEED exam cities will not be accepted.
- Scanned copies of documents have to be uploaded in the prescribed format by IIT Bombay.
- Before paying application fee, candidate needs to confirm that UCEED resgitration form is complete. Application fee for UCEED 2027 will be paid online.

The UCEED application form is to be filled by candidates seeking admission to the B. Des programme. Also, UCEED scores are not considered for admission to the M.Des programme. So, the candidates must instead fill out the application form for CEED . Note that both the CEED and UCEED exams are conducted by IIT Bombay.
The application fee (expected) for UCEED 2027 form is
- Female candidates (all categories) and SC/ST/PwD candidates have to pay INR 2,000.
- All other candidates need to pay INR 4,000 as the application fee.
There is no option to edit UCEED application form once it is submitted. There is no application edit window. So, candidates must be very careful while filling the application form.
Eligbility for UCEED 2027 Registration
To appear in UCEED 2027 exam, candidates need to meet the following UCEED eligibility criteria 2027.

The candidate should be born on or after October 1, 2002. If the candidate belongs to the SC, ST, or PwD category, then they need to be born on or after October 1, 1997. This may change with the release of the notification and guidelines. |
| Criterion 2: Number of attempts | A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of TWO times, and that too in consecutive years. The score of UCEED is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year. |
| Criterion 3: Qualifying examination | The candidate should have passed all subjects in the 10+2 exam in 2026, or should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2027, to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2027. Students from all streams (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2025 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2027. |

Commonly asked questions
Candidates from any academic stream are eligible to apply for UCEED exam. However, for admission to IIT Guwahati, it is mandatory for candidates to have passed Class 12 from the Science stream. The candidate needs to carefully go through the eligibility criteria before they apply. It is because the candidate will not be considered for admission to the B. Des programme even if they get a rank in UCEED if they don't meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Also, any candidate who is found to be using incorrect information about their eligibility stands to be disqualified if caught.

Scribe Services in UCEED Entrance Exam
The services of a scribe (amanuensis) are available to candidates who have a disability and require assistance in operating the computer for Part-A of the examination. The candidate will be required to attempt Part-B without the assistance of a scribe due to the nature of the paper.
- To avail of this benefit, the candidate should select this option in UCEED online registration form AND upload a copy of the PwD certificate (Appendices 5 – 9) at the time of online registration for UCEED.
- In case of persons with disabilities in the category of blindness, locomotor disability (Both Arms only) and cerebral palsy, the facility of scribe/reader/ lab assistant may be
given, if so desired by the person, upon production of valid disability certificate/ UDID card without requiring an additional medical certificate as per the proforma given in
Appendix 10.

No, candidates will not be given a refund for UCEED 2027 application fee under any circumstances. UCEED application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. So, before paying the application fee, the candidate needs to make up their minds whether they want to appear in the UCEED exam or not.
UCEED 2027 Applications for the B.Des programme will be released by IIT Bombay on the official site, October 01, 2026. The application form will be available on the official website of UCEEED.

UCEED is one of the accepting exams for admission in BDes programme of MIT-WPU, Pune. However, it is not mandatory. Aspirants with scores in NATA, NIFT Entrance Exam or NID or MIT-WPU CET can also get admission in BDes provided they also pass the selection rounds.

Yes, UCEED Exam score is accepted for NMIMS DAT Admission. Such candidates have to submit their portfolios and appear for a Personal interview.

Yes, 30 could be considered a good enough rank for admission to the BDes course at IIT Hyderabad.
For the General AI category, the highest rank acceptable was 42. So, the attained rank of 30 might get you admitted at IIT Hyderabad.

Both institutions offer the BDes course but with completely different admission processes. IIT Indore accepts admission based on the UCEED entrance exam, while BITS Pilani considers the NID Entrance exam/ BITSAT exam result.
