Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College is an engineering college located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Spread in an area of 40 acres, the college has an excellent state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College campus is divided into various blocks, including an administrative block, CS block, ME block and MCA block. It also has facilities such as lecture theatres, canteens, hostels, skill centre, faith centre and faculty residence. Additionally, the campus is eco-friendly as it has deep wells for rainwater harvesting, sewage treatment plants for recycling water and on-grid installed 330 kW capacity solar panels on the roofs of lecture theatres and hostels.

 Read below to know in detail about the five blocks at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College campus:

A) Administrative Block: This is the first block located on the college campus, situated just near the main entry gate. It is the heart of the college as all the official work is conducted here. It includes a registrar's office, training and placement cell and the basement of this block houses a seminar hall, central library, computer centres and stationery shop.

B) Mechanical Block: This block is just at the backside of the admin block and near the canteen. It includes labs of the Mechanical Engineering department, Siemens skill centre, and KUKA robotics lab. Classes of the Mechanical and Instrumentation departments are conducted in this block.

C) CS Block: At seven storeys, this is the tallest building at Ajay Kumar Garg College of Engineering campus. It is situated behind the lecture theatres. It is home to ASH, CS, IT, MCA and Civil Engineering departments.

D) Lecture Theatres: This is a two-storey building shaped like an arc, constructed on a circular path, which is a 2-storey building. Commonly known as LT’s and mainly used for the classes of first-year students.

E) BB Block: This block is also referred to as a back block. It includes labs of the Electronics and Electrical Engineering departments. This block is just behind the admin block and connected through a gallery.

All blocks, hostels and faculty residences are Wi-Fi-enabled with high-speed internet connectivity round the clock.

Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College Facilities

Every department has its own well-equipped laboratories and classrooms. The Mechanical Engineering department has a plethora of labs like fluid mechanics and machinery lab, machine design lab, CAD-CAM lab, SOM lab, Testing lab, IC engine lab, refrigeration and air-conditioning lab, Metrology lab, TOM lab and workshop for casting, welding, machining, forging, etc. 

Besides these departmental labs, various other industry tie-up labs are also available for the students. These include Fronius, Kuka, Siemens, NI-LabVIEW, Bosch, etc. The college library consists of a book bank, central library, departmental libraries and digital library. All libraries are accessible till 9 PM on normal days and till midnight during exam time. The central library consists of a reading hall, study cubicles, discussion room, computer centres and a reading room with a total seating capacity of over 300 users. The library is well-stocked with various technical books, journals, research papers, etc. Most of the classrooms are digitally equipped with projectors and digital boards.

Ajay Garg Kumar Engineering College Co-curricular Facilities

The college also focuses on the physical activities and fitness of the students. It has a well-established football ground, cricket ground, kabaddi ground, kho-kho ground, badminton court, basketball court and for indoor games table tennis room, chess and carom room, etc. It also has an amphitheatre with a seating capacity of 500+ students. Every year an inter-departmental sports event is organised for students as well as faculty members under the name of SAKSHAM. Saksham is a 15-day-long event that consists of outdoor and indoor games like cricket, football, chess, table tennis, kabaddi, kho-kho, long jump, high jump, shot put, javelin throw, discus throw, relay race, tug of war, etc.

Ajay Garg Kumar Engineering College Hostel and Mess Facilities

The college has its own on-campus separate hostels for boys and girls with a total accommodation capacity of 1,500 students. First-year students have their own separate hostel that has three-seater and two-seater rooms. Single seater rooms are available only for senior students. Hostel rooms are spacious and well-furnished. Each hostel has its own mess facility, canteen and utility shop for daily needs. All hostels have their own wi-fi connections but the speed is just average. Washing machines are also provided on each floor of the girls’ hostel.

The college has 24*7 medical facilities available to the students and faculty. For emergency cases, an ambulance is available round the clock inside the campus. The students are provided with free check-ups every year at Indo German Hospital located close to the campus.

Ajay Garg Kumar Engineering College Transportation Facilities

Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College is situated on Delhi-Hapur bypass road just beside Vedanta farms and in between IMS Engineering College and Hi-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology. It is just 13 km away from Ghaziabad railway station and 14 km away from Shaheed Sthal (new bus adda) Metro Station (Red line) as well as from the bus stand. Rickshaws and buses are easily available from the railway station. Cabs are also available 24*7 on this route. There are two ways to reach the college from Ghaziabad railway station, the first route is from Lal Kuan and the second route is via Old Bus Stand.
