Are you appearing for Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2020 exam? Here are the MET 2020 exam day guidelines and dos and don’ts for the exam day.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) is all set to conduct MET 2020 exam August 1 to 12 as an online remote proctored test. The exam was earlier postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. To appear in Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2020, candidates must follow MET 2020 exam day guidelines as set by the authority. The candidates can take the exam safely at home by using their own laptop/desktop. However, there are some protocols that the authority has set and to be followed strictly by the candidates. Below are the complete guidelines about dos and don’ts for MET 2020 Remote Proctored Test.

MET 2020 Exam Pattern

  • MET 2020 will be in English and of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ type)
  • The candidate must choose the right or closest to the right answer from among the choices given
  • Marking Scheme: + 4 for every correct answer, - 1 for every wrong answer, 0 for every unattempted question
  • On completion of the test & submission, the test score will be displayed on the screen immediately. The detailed test score sheet can be downloaded from the website, 24 hours after the test completion

MET 2020 Highlights

  • There will be no second attempt
  • Rescheduling request will not be considered under any circumstances
  • Kindly note that test slot booking is subject to the availability of slots
  • If, for any reason, the test date gets cancelled, another date will be allotted. MAHE admissions office will inform the applicant of the new date, well in advance.
  • The entrance test fee will not be refunded under any circumstances

MET 2020 Guidelines - Installing Safe Brower

Step 1: Download

  • Click here to download the Safe Exam browser file (SEBLite.exe) onto your desktop
  • During the download, the anti-virus in your system may prompt you to re-confirm download, as it is an exe file
  • Do NOT worry, it is very safe to download and the run the exe file
  • This exe file is needed only for the exam and not for anything else
  • On completion of the exam, you may go the Control Panel and uninstall the same.

Step 2: Installation

  • Double click on “SEBLite” to start the installation
  • You will get the following pop-up window that will say “Windows protected your PC”
  • Click on “More Info” to know more about
  • Click on “Run Anyway” to initiate the installation process
  • Click on “Next >” to continue
  • Click on “Close” to complete the Setup

Step 3: Run Time

  • You will be able see two shortcut icons on desktop with MAHE logo
  • SEBLite - SEBLite Repair tool
  • Please double click on “SEBLite” shortcut Icon

Note:

Based on your Windows settings you may / may not get the below-mentioned popup message. Click “Yes” to continue
Now enter your login details (Login ID and Password). Select the checkbox and click on “Sign in” 
Your Name, Application number and Photo will be displayed. Select the checkbox and Click on the “Continue” button
You will have a maximum of 15 mins to read and understand the instructions.
After reading the instructions, select the checkbox and click on “Start Exam” button.
Allow access to Webcam, Microphone and all other instructions asked for to start the test.

MET 2020 Exam Guidelines - Online Remote Proctored Test

  • The Test screen will have 4 sections
  • Section 1 at the top part of the screen contains Test, Candidate details and Countdown timer. The countdown timer will indicate the Total Time remaining to attempt questions of all sections.
  • Section 2 contains various sections of the test. The total questions for each section are indicated within brackets
  • The question panel containing the number of questions is displayed on the left-hand side of the screen
  • Section 3 displays the legends indicating the status of each question
  • Section 4 contains buttons with various functionality
  • Based on your preference you may go to any one of the section and start answering the questions. In this demo, we will start with the Mathematics section first.
When you click on the last question of the last section “End Test” dialogue box will appear. Click the button to end the test. After clicking the End Test dialogue box will appear showing the summary of answered and unanswered questions along with marked for review status. Press “Yes” to proceed OR “No” to resume. On clicking “Yes”, a dialogue box will appear to confirm your decision. Please click on “Confirm” to end test OR click on “Cancel” to resume. In the end, your MET 2020 scores will be displayed on the screen.

MET 2020 Exam Day - Do's and Don'ts

  • The webcam must be installed strictly in front of the system, preferably on the top of the monitor, to show your face clearly. Any other forms of camera installation are not permitted and will be liable for necessary actions.
  • The candidate face must be fully in view of the camera and no partial or complete exit from the camera's field of view is permitted.
  • The candidate’s face should be in the centre of the webcam's field throughout the duration of the test
  • Candidate should ensure that their face is evenly lit, and there should not be the light source behind the candidate's face.
  • Hair, clothing, hands, or anything else should not cover the face area at any point in time, throughout the test duration.
  • Sunglasses not to be worn during the test. Only transparent and non-reflecting lenses/glasses are allowed.
  • The candidate should take the test in solitude with least / no disturbance, and there should not be anyone else in the room apart from the candidate
  • It is prohibited to leave the workplace during the examination and may result in termination of the examination, or other actions as deemed appropriate.
  • The exam must be taken in a safe exam browser (SEB) with a full-screen window. The materials and contents of the examination should not be recorded in any way.
  • Do not use unfair means during examination like mobile, other app support, using google etc. It can result in disqualification.

The highest package details for Manipal Institute of Communication placements 2024 has not been released. However, the median salary 2024 is out for UG and PG courses. The highest median package stood at INR 5 LPA and was offered to PG 2-year students.
