Overview

MET 2026 result for Phase 1 exam has been declared. Candidates can now check their MET result 2026 online at manipal.edu. Scores obtained in exam have been released through result. To download MET result, candidates have to log in using their email address and password. Candidates have been notified about their result through SMS to their registered mobile number. MAHE will announce the ranks obtained in exam soon in form of MET rank card 2026. Separate results will be announced for different rounds of MET 2026 exam.

Qualified candidates have to participate in MET 2026 counselling for admission. Based on MET and 12th standard scores, candidates will be considered for admission. Candidates can now check their MET 2026 result for Phase 1 exam. The given steps can be followed to access the online result.

Candidates will be able to download result in form of MET 2026 rank card. Steps given below can be followed to download rank card.

  • Click on rank card link.
  • Candidates will have to login with email address and password.

  • Candidates will have to download and print out MET rank card

What after MET 2026 result?

MAHE will announce MET counselling 2026 dates after rank card is released. Qualified candidates have to participate in MET counselling for admissions into participating campuses. MET 2026 counselling registration will be open online at counseling.manipal.edu. To login, they will have to use application number and counselling password. First, candidates have to upload their 12th marksheet. After registrations are open, they will have to update profile details. MET 2026 counselling fee has to be paid online through net banking/credit card/debit card. Selection of courses and campuses has to be done in order of preference.

MET 2026 seat allotment result will be announced online. Allotment of seats will be done according to rank, preferences and seat availability. To confirm admission, allotted candidates will have to confirm their allotment before final date.

How is MET 2026 Rank Calculated?

MET 2026 rank is calculated after adapting a normalisation process. Since the exam is held in different shifts, the difficulty level will be different and will impact performance of the candidates. To ensure that students do not face any unfair means, the authorities will compare students' performance with the others in same shift. Obtained scores will be normalised through a formula. Final MET rank of the candidates will be prepared based on the normalised scores.

Minimum ranks required for higher changes of admission will be available through MET cutoff. Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will release MET cutoff 2026 during counselling. A good score in MET will depend on which course and campus the candidates wish to apply for. However, overall the candidates should score 110+ marks out of 240 marks to get a good chance of admission.

Q:   What is the total score in MET?
A: 

As per MET exam pattern, total score is 240. However, for every wrong answer in MCQs, one mark will be deducted. There is no negative marking for NATs.

Q:   Is MET easy or tough?
A: 

According to previous years' trends, MET exam is moderate in difficulty. Candidates who are well prepared for their board exams will be able to prepare for MET exam simultaneously.

Q:   Are other exam scores considered for MET admissions?

The authorities do not consider any other exam score for MET admissions. All students will have to attempt and qualify the MET exam to be eligible for admission into the participating campuses. However, the basic 12th standard qualifying exam mark eligibility has to be met.

Overall, MET is of moderate difficulty. Candidates who are prepared for board exams will be able to simultaneously prepare for MET. In comparison to national level exams such as JEE Main, MET is considered easier.

According to students, Mathematics is often considered the most difficult section of MET. Since questions are often tough and lengthy, candidates should accordingly prepare well.

MET exam pattern is released online. For multiple choice questions in MET exam, one mark will be cut. There is no negative marking for Numerical Answer Type Questions.

There are no minimum marks required to qualify MET exam. However, candidates have to meet minimum eligibility marks in 12th class for admissions.
