Q: How are you making the most of all the extra leisure time that you have now?

A: I am devoting this time to my placement preparation and competitive exam preparation. This is the time where I can learn far from basic and I am doing that. I am working on my aptitude part and communication part because these things will play an important role during the placement when will reopen. I am practicing questions daily on different third-party platforms to polish my skills.

Q: With exams being postponed, how are you keeping up with extended preparations? Please provide new dates of exams if those have been shared in the college.

A: Due to this pandemic disease, the exams have been postponed. But, surely, the examination will happen, that will be after these holidays or in the form of some assignment, but it will happen for sure. So, we can’t just simply let this time go. We have to study and complete our syllabus and have to work harder because we are at home, and are not surrounded by our faculty members and friends so it may be difficult some time to clear the doubts.

The university has guided us that if the situation becomes good then there are chances that exam may start from the third week of June and immediately after that our classes will start of next semester, however, if this doesn’t happen then for backup we have been given different assignments and practical’s in each subject which we have to complete and have to submit to our faculty members.

Q: If you are planning to appear for any competitive exam- how are you making the most of this time?

A: This is the time when one can fully devote to his competitive exam. I am planning to appear for gate examination. We always cry that we are not getting enough time to study, to complete our work. This is the time when one can learn new skills, can give his best in the competition by preparing well. I am utilizing time by clearing my concept about Automata, Data structure, and algorithm, operating system, networks. I have joined online classes for the same and devoting my time to that. I am revising my basics to clear my concept.

Q: Are your parents more involved in your ‘college life’ now since they can listen to/participate in your conversations more easily?

A: The most interesting part of this lockdown period is that our parents are now involved in our college life. Since we are at home and completing the assignments which are given by our faculty members, they are checking that whether we are completing our work or not. Sometimes they also come in between during the Zoom meet and suddenly we need to of our webcam. They are listening to what we are talking to our friends about the assignments, how we are completing our assignment.

At Lovely Professional University, you can take admission in BTech CSE through their own test called LPUNEST or based on your 12th marks.

JEE is not compulsory, but if you have a good JEE score, it can help you get admission and scholarship.
