If you are serious about your Engineering career then strategise your planning even more religiously and with consistency. You will definitely crack the exam if you will have more confidence in yourself.

I know it would be even more stressful to appear for the next attempt of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) in April this year. However, if you are serious about your Engineering career then strategise your planning even more religiously and with consistency. You will definitely crack the exam if you will have more confidence in yourself.

Here is what you've got to do once you begin preparing for JEE Main in April:

  • Solve all the previous years’ question papers to get your hands on. After you're done revising the course topic wise, start taking tests. Solve around three papers a day with a break of 2–3 hours in between for analysing your mistakes. Take as many tests as possible with the actual simulation of the test environment if possible.
  • Figure out what topics are really important and which sort of question comes needless to say. Make those topics your forte and do not miss them in real exam. There are some questions of easy- and medium-level difficulties within the exam. Do not miss them. They consume less time, too, as these are easier to solve. That's where your marks are.
  • Buy some books which give many sample papers. Solve each one of them and evaluate your score, find out what you did wrong, reduce silly mistakes and you are good to go. You should specialise in solving more questions if your concepts are cleared.
  • Make a fixed routine for the last two month. You should not keep awake till late at night. Also, make it a practice to wake up early in the morning, say at 6 am.
  • You want to develop a habit of studying for six hours continuously with a break of half-hour after every three
  • The Holy book for JEE is your NCERT, so religiously practice a lot from it to be clear with your basic concepts.
  • Practice as many multiple choice questions as you can.
