IIT Varanasi BTech admission is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Students qualify Class 12 from the recognised board with 75% marks for general category and 65% marks for SC/ ST. PwD candidates.

Yes, Candidates who wish to become a professor after BTech in Electrical Engineering will also be required to complete MTech and PhD in the required discipline.They must clear GATE in order to pursue M.Tech and later pursue PhD in the same discipline. Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida, BTech admission is conducted in three different modes. To get admission in the BTech course, candidates can choose any one admission procedure as per their qualification. There are three admission modes:
