DCET Exam Date 2026: Karnataka Examinations Authority will announce the DCET 2026 exam date at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. The exam is usually conducted in May. The DCET application form will be available in April 2026 (tentatively). Along with the exam date, candidates can check the schedule for all events such as filling the application form, downloading the admit card, checking the result and more. Candidates must keep track of the DCET exam date to avoid missing any events related to the exam. The DCET exam is conducted as a pen-and-paper test.

Karnataka Examinations Authority will release the DCET application form in April 2026. Applicants will have to register themselves online at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Applicants have to complete registration, form-filling, upload the documents and pay the fee to submit the form. Candidates must submit the form before the last date. Only registered candidates will be issued the admit card.

Q:   I am a final year Diploma student and waiting for the result. Can I apply for DCET 2026?
A: 

Those who have passed the Diploma or who are waiting for their results are eligible to apply for DCET 2026. A minimum of 45% marks in the 5th and 6th semesters combined is required to apply for the exam. The minimum percentage mark for SC/ST candidates is 40%. 

Q:   Is there a negative marking in DCET?
A: 

There is no negative marking in DCET examination for any incorrect and unattempted questions. The maximum marks in DCET are 100 marks and candidates get 1 mark for every correct answer.

DCET Admit Card 2026 Date

Karnataka Examinations Authority will release the DCET 2026 hall ticket online at the official website. Applicants can download the DCET hall ticket at kea.kar.nic.in. Candidates need to enter their required credentials to download the DCET admit card. Applicants have to carry their hall ticket along with one valid photo ID proof to the exam centre. DCET 2026 hall ticket will be available online only.

KEA will conduct the DCET counselling 2026 online. Applicants declared qualified based on results can participate in the DCET counselling. The counselling process will have registration, option entry, certificate verification and seat allotment. Applicants allotted a seat based on their option entry have to report to the respective colleges after fee payment to confirm their admission.
