MET 2026 slot booking dates have been announced online at manipal.edu. For Phase 1 exam, MET slot booking 2026 will be open from March 31 to April 2. Candidates will be able to book their slots through Online Test Booking System (OTBS). To log in, they will have to use their application number and password, which is date of birth in DDMMYYYY format. Using online slot booking, candidates can book their preferred MET 2026 exam dates and slots according to preferences. No other mode will be used for slot booking. Phase 2 slot booking will be available from May 9 to 11, 2026.

After slots are booked, MET 2026 admit card will be available for download on April 10 (Phase 1). Candidates can check their allotted centre, date and timings through MET hall ticket. How to access the MET Slot Booking 2026 facility?

MET 2026 slot booking process will be open online. Students can follow given steps to book their slots.

  • First, candidates will have to go to manipal.edu and click on slot booking link. To log in, candidates will have to enter their MET 2026 application form number and OTBS Password, i.e., their date of birth in format of DDMMYYYY. After logging in, they will be able to change their passwords as per their preference.
  • Next, candidates will have to verify their details displayed on left hand side of screen. After verification, candidates have to click on 'Book a seat' tab. Selection of preferred test city under “City” dropdown list has to be done.
  • Candidates will have to follow given steps to book their slots. Select preferred date Select “Test centre name” from dropdown. If city has multiple test centres, same will be displayed. Selection of preferred test centre has to be made. After selection, Test centre address will be displayed along with number of seats available for booking on each day/slot. Once exam date and slot are selected, candidates will have to click on 'Book' to book the slot
  • Candidates will have to press 'OK' to proceed. On clicking, a dialogue box will appear showing selected test centre address details, date and the slot of examinations. Click on 'Confirm' to book slot or 'Cancel' to resume.

Q:   What will happen if I forget to book my MET slots?

MET slot booking will be open online. If students forget to book exam slots before final date, then their slot will be automatically assigned by authorities. They cannot change their exam slots, once it is allotted.

First Attempt

  • The MET slot booking will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • Allotment of slots will be done as per preference and availability.
  • Once the slots are booked, they cannot be changed.

Q:   How can I access the MET OTBS password?
A: 

MET OTBS password will not be sent individually to the students. The OTBS password to access the MET slot booking facility is the student's date of birth, in the DDMMYYYY format. Using the MET OTBS password and application number, they can login and book their slots.

Q:   Why am I not allotted my preferred MET exam slot?
A: 

If students are not given their preferred MET exam slot, it may be due to inavailability of exam centre. They will be given their next preference. In case of any problem, students should contact authorities.

MET 2026 Admit Card

MAHE has announced MET admit card 2026 dates. According to official schedule, MET admit card for Phase 1 exam will be available on April 10, 2026. To download MET admit card, candidates will have to log in with their application number and OTBS password. Beforehand, they have to complete slot booking process. Through hall ticket, candidates can check their allotted MET exam centre, date, timings, guidelines and more. At centre, they will have to bring their admit card with one original valid identity proof. Without these documents, candidates cannot enter exam centre to attempt the examination. Phase 2 hall ticket will be available on May 20, 2026.

Highlights of MET 2026 Slot booking

Some important highlights of MET slot booking are given below.

  • Only those candidates who successfully submit their MET 2026 application form will be eligible for the slot booking
  • The authorities will not accept requests to change the allotted MET 2026 slots under any circumstances.
  • In case of the non-availability of slots in the preferred centre, the candidates will have to choose a slot in an alternate centre. Also, if a centre is cancelled for any reason, the candidates will be allotted another centre. Each candidate will be informed about the change and the new centre well in advance by the admission office at Manipal University.
  • Candidates will receive a confirmation email after they successfully book their MET 2026 slots through the Online Test Booking System.

Admissions are not guaranteed to students if MET cutoff is met. Since other factors are also involved in allotment, just meeting cutoff may not be enough. However, it will give them higher chances of admission into their preferences.
