Students said that the paper covered all the topics given in the AFCAT syllabus. For the first time, probability questions were asked in the Maths paper of the AFCAT exam. The current affairs questions were from the recent events that took place in 2022. There were questions from Ujjwala Scheme, Military Exercises, Name of the company that manufactures Tejas, Name of the aircraft that can carry Brahmos, etc. 

In Numerical Ability, questions were asked from Profit & Loss, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Proportion. There were Arithmetic questions more. In English questions were asked from Antonyms, Synonyms, Idioms and Phrases, Fill in the Blanks, Jumbled Sentences. The Reasoning section carried questions based on the topics given in the syllabus. AFCAT Marking Scheme

To qualify the exam, candidates need to secure the prescribed qualifying marks. The marking scheme of AFCAT is given below:

  • For correct answers, candidates score three marks. The score of candidates is calculated after deducting AFCAT negative marking
  • There is an AFCAT negative marking. One mark is deducted for every incorrect answer
  • No marks are allotted to unattempted questions
