UPSC IAS Vacancy 2025 OUT: Check Here for IAS, IPS and Civil Service Vacancies
Indian Administrative Services 2025 ( IAS )
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) revised the number of UPSC CSE 2024 vacancies to 1,132, In the UPSC IAS notification 2024 released in January 2024, the original number of UPSC vacancies notified were 1,056 only. The DoPT also released the category-wise breakup of the total vacancies. The Union Public Service Commission will soon release the UPSC CSE (IAS) result 2024 on its official website.
The Commission will also release the names of the UPSC Toppers 2024 in the official result notice. The UPSC IAS interviews 2024 were conducted till April 17, 2025. The Union Public Service Commission released the Civil Service (IAS) 2025 notification on its official website on January 22, 2025. The candidates should note that the UPSC IAS vacancies is an important component for the Civil Service Exam because the number of vacancies influences the UPSC IAS cutoff 2025 at every stage of selection. The official notification notifies the UPSC IAS 2025 vacancies. The number of vacancies are tentative and can be changed in the final iteration.
The Union Public Service Commission notified 979 vacancies for the IAS 2025 exam and 150 for UPSC IFS(P) Examination 2025. The Ministry of Personnel releases the post-wise break-up of Civil Service vacancies later. Following the yearly trend, there will be 180 IAS vacancies and 200 IPS vacancies. The Ministry of Personnel will release the UPSC rank-wise post list 2025 later.

The UPSC did not mention the post-wise or service-wise vacancies in the official notification. The Commission only mention the number of total vacancies that too is a tentative number. The final number of vacancies in the IAS exam is finalised and released by the Ministry of Personnel on its official website.

IAS 2023 Vacancies
The number of UPSC CSE 2023 vacancies is 1,105. The IAS notification 2023 has been released as per the schedule given in the UPSC exam calendar. The Commission mentioned the total number of vacancies in the official notification but the UPSC can revise the number of IAS vacancies through a notice or addendum. There are 180 vacancies for the IAS officer and 200 vacancies for IPS officers.
IAS Vacancies 2022
The Ministry of Personnel is yet to release the service-wise vacancies for the Civil Service Exam 2022. The total number of vacancies is 1,011 after the addition of IRMS. Union Government of India informed the parliament that the number of IPS vacancies will be increased to 200 till further notice.
