The syllabus for paper 1 and paper 2 is different from the syllabus for MP TET. The content of both papers is different. Candidates must appear for a paper that is relevant to the desired teaching level. Paper 1 syllabus of MP TET Exam focuses on the candidate’s knowledge, understanding and pedagogical ability related to the subjects in the primary school syllabus. The syllabus includes topics like Child development and pedagogy, language 1, language 2, Mathematics and science, and social studies/social science. Paper 2 syllabus of MP TET Exam focuses on the candidates’ knowledge, understanding & pedagogical abilities related to subjects in the upper primary school curriculum.

Q:   Does MP TET syllabus change every year?

The MP TET syllabus is revised and updated by MP PEB on a regular basis. However, the syllabus does not change drastically on an annual basis. The syllabus of the MP TET is based on the subjects covered in the Primary and Upper Primary School Curriculum. The objective of the syllabus is to test the candidates’ knowledge, understanding and pedagogical ability related to the subjects. However, minor changes or additions in the syllabus may be made from time to time depending on the development of the education sector and the demands of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Q:   Is it compulsory to attempt both papers in the MP TET exam?

A:

No, you are not required to appear in both MP TET Paper 1 & 2. You can appear in either Paper 1 or 2 depending on your desired teaching level. The MP TET test is divided into two papers: Paper 1 is for those who wish to teach Classes I to V. Paper 2 is for those who want to teach Classes VI to VIII. Candidates who wish to teach Class I to VIII must appear in both Paper 1 & Paper 2. Candidates can appear in Paper 1 & 2 according to their teaching preferences. For instance, if you want to teach Classes 1 to 5, you can appear in only Paper 1. Similarly, if you wish to teach Classes 6 to 8, you can appear only in Paper 2.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of the MP TET exam?

A:

The MP TET examination consists of 150 questions, each of which carries one mark. Candidates do not lose marks if they answer incorrectly. To be eligible for the exam, candidates must score at least 60% of the total marks. The exam is divided into two parts, one called Paper 1 and one called Paper 2, each of which consists of 150 multi-choice questions with a maximum score of 150 marks. The content of each paper is different, so candidates must appear for the one that is related to their desired level of education.
