RPF Constable marks is done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. To adjust the difficulty level, normalisation of marks is done. The marks of candidates might change normalisation. RPF Constable result is announced based on the normalisation.

RPF Constable selection process comprises Computer-Based Testing (CBT), PET/PMT, DV and medical. Candidates qualifying the CBT are called for PET/PMT. Those qualifying the PET/PMT are called for DV. Shortlisted candidates of DV appear for medical exam. RPF Constable normalisation is done since the exam is multiple shifts. According to the normalisation process, the marks obtained in the exam are calculated on the basis of an average score of the top one percent of the candidates considering all shifts.
