RRB Group D exam Date 2023: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are expected to release RRB Group D notification 2023 soon. Along with the notification, the exam dates will also be released. Discussed below, in brief, some of the important events of the RRB Group D exam:

RRB Group D Application Form 

RRB Group D application form is released online. The fee payment can be done both online and offline. The application fee is INR 500 (for all candidates except the fee concession categories). The fee for PwBD/Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class is INR 250. The steps to fill RRB Group D application form are given below:

  • Candidates need to visit the official websites of RRBs
  • Click the 'New Registration' link to register for the exam
  • To register for the exam, candidates need to enter name, date of birth and father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of passing, mobile number, email ID 
  • Registration number and password are generated after registration
  • In Part I of the application page, candidates need to provide the details of educational qualification, community, gender, religion, Ex-Servicemen, CCAA, Minority, Economically Backward Class and Age Relaxation and other details
  • In Part II of the application page, enter the priority/preference of the RRB Group D posts
  • Candidates need to pay the application fees using Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI and Offline Challan
  • Candidates need to choose the exam languages-Hindi, English, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu
  • Candidates need to fill details of photo ID card

RRB Group D Exam

The CBT exam comprised objective-type questions from subjects such as General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The total duration of the test is 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by the scribe). The test carries a total of 100 marks. Candidates three times the number of vacancies are selected for the PET. Candidates qualifying the PET are called for the document verification.

RRB Group D Admit Card 

RRB Group D admit card for CBT is released in a phase-wise manner. The admit cards are released four days prior to the exam. Candidates who qualify the CBT are issued admit card for appearing in PET. To download the RRB Group D admit card, candidates are required to enter the required login credentials. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. The admit card is an important document without which candidates are not allowed to enter the exam hall.

RRB Group D Result

RRB Group D result is announced online on the region-wise official websites of RRBs. RRB Group D result is made available in PDF format and contains the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The scorecard can be accessed by logging with the required credentials. The CBT is divided into four sections: General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The total marks allotted to CBT are 100. The final selection of candidates is done based on the performance in the CBT provided they qualify the PET.

Q:   What is the in-hand salary of RRB Group D employees?

A:

Candidates selected through RRB Group D exam get in hand salary in the range of INR 25,000 to 27,000 as per the 7th pay commission. Q:   What is RRB Group D Salary?

A:

The basic RRB Group D salary is INR 18,000. Besides the salary, candidates are also entitled to certain allowances and benefits. RRB Group D salary after 10 years increases upto INR 25,000 depending upon various factors. Candidates' salary is revised on the basis of 39 per cent DA allowances and the salary after five years jumps to INR 15,000 at least, depending on their pay band and the city they are posted in. RRB Group D Selection Process

RRB Group D selection process comprises CBT, PET/PST, document verification, medical exam and empanellment of candidates. The PET/PST is qualifying in nature. The final selection of candidates is done based on the marks obtained in CBT subject to candidates qualifying the PET/PST, document verification and medical exam.

RRB Group D Eligibility

RRB Group D eligibility criteria comprises age limit, educational qualification and nationality. In order to be eligible for the exam, candidates need to follow the adhere to the eligibility criteria. RRB Group D age limit is 18 to 33 years. Last year, the RRBs/RRCs had revised the educational qualification for RRB Group D exam. The minimum education qualification required for technical departments-Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, and Signal & Telecom departments) and catering wing of Railways is Class 10 pass and candidates must also have National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training. Candidates who have passed Class 10 and ITI can also apply for the exam. A:

To prepare for RRB Group D exam, candidates need to go through the exam pattern and syllabus. Candidates must choose the right study material for the exam. A:
Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies are called for PET. It is mandatory for candidates to pass the PET and it is qualifying in nature. The PET exam pattern for male and female candidates is given below. Male Candidates should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes without putting down the weight Candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in four minutes and 15 seconds in one chance Female Candidates Female candidates should be able to lift and carry 20 kgs of weight for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes without putting down the weight Candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in five minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
