RRB Group D exam is conducted for the level 1 posts in Indian Railways. The selection process includes Computer Based Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST), Document Verification and Medical Exam. The year-wise total recruitment done through RRB Group D is given below.

RRB Group D CBT question paper will be available in 15 languages: Hindi, English, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. The language of the paper is based on the region or the specific exam. But the majority of Railway Recruitment Board papers will be in the official language of the state in which the exam is conducted. For example, if the exam is taking place in Tamil Nadu, the paper is likely to be in Tamil. Likewise, if the exam is taking place in Kolkata, the language of the question paper will be in Bengali. Candidates can choose the exam language while filling out the application form.

RRB Group D notification 2025 was released by the Railway Recruitment Boards. The notification was released in PDF form and comprises the details related to the exam. The selection process of RRB Group D comprises Computer Based Test,  Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST), Document Verification and Medical Exam. CCAAs trained in railway establishment are given due weightage of marks obtained in NCVT for preparation of the final merit list. They are also exempted from PET/PST.

The educational qualification for RRB Group D exam is Class 10 pass. Therefore, the syllabus has been formulated based on the given educational qualification. RRB Group D syllabus is given below: Mathematics: Number System, Percentage, BODMAS, LCM-HCF, Simple and Compound Interest, Algebra, Profit and Loss, etc. General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analogies, Data Sufficiency, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Relationships, etc General Science: Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences of CBSE Class 10 level General Awareness: Current Affairs Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics

RRB Group D application form 2025 was released on January 23, 2025 by the Railway Recruitment Boards. RRB Group D application form should be filled online only. The application fee is INR 500 (for all candidates except the fee concession categories). The fee for PwBD/Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class is INR 250. Candidates can pay the fee both online and offline. Candidates are not required to sent the hard copy of the application form.

The CBT of RRB Group D exam comprises four sections-General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. Total marks allotted to CBT are 100. Based on the marks obtained in CBT, candidates are called for PET. The PET is qualifying in nature. Those who qualify the PET are called for document verification. Final empanellment of candidates is done based on the performance in CBT subject to their qualifying the document verification and medical exam. RRB Group D question papers are released four days after the exam is conducted. The question papers are released along with the answer key. Candidates can download the question papers by logging with the required credentials. Candidates can even challenge the RRB Group D question papers. Going through the question papers, candidates can know the topics from where questions are asked in the exam. Candidates need to download RRB Group D answer key online. They can download their answer keys by logging with the user ID and password. Objections against the answer key can be raised online by paying INR 50. The final answer key is released after the declaration of the result.

RRB Group D Probation period is 2 years. Candidates will have to take the training for a period of 2 years, and then will be able to start their job as an RRB Group D Officer.
