IBPS RRB Apply Online 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will soon release IBPS RRB registration form. The last date to fill the application form will be mentioned in the IBPS RRB notification. The link to fill the application form will be activated on the official website of IBPS. However, we will provide the direct link to fill IBPS RRB online form. The application process comprises several stages such as registration, uploading the scanned photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form, uploading the left thumb impression and handwritten declaration and paying the application fees. 

The application fee for IBPS RRB can be paid online and it is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. How to fill IBPS RRB Application Form 2025?

Candidates are advised to carefully fill the IBPS RRB application form 2025 as per the instructions prescribed by the examination authority. No changes are allowed in any of the data entered in the application form after the final submission. 

Pre-requisites Before filling IBPS RRB Application Form 

Candidates should keep the following details handy while filling the application form:

  • Active mobile number and email ID 
  • Scanned passport-sized photograph 
  • Scanned copy of candidate's signature 
  • Scanned Left Thumb Impression 
  • A handwritten declaration
  • Details of credit/debit card for fee payment

The steps to fill the application form of IBPS RRB are given below.

Step 1: IBPS RRB Registration 2025

  • Visit the official website of IBPS 
  • Click 'Apply online for IBPS RRB' 
  • Click 'New Registration' to register with IBPS

  • Confirm the details by verifying the same
  • Enter the security code and click on ‘Save and Next’
  • Post-registration, a provisional registration ID and password will be generated and displayed on the screen
  • An E-mail and SMS regarding the registration ID and password are also sent to the candidates

Step 2: Uploading of Documents 

After successful registration, candidates should proceed towards uploading photograph and signature. Candidates can follow the steps below for uploading the documents:

  • Login with the registration number and password
  • Click the relevant links for uploading photograph and signature
  • Browse to the location where the scanned documents are saved
  • Click on the upload/open button

Specification for Photograph & Signature

The specifications for uploading photograph and signature are given below:

Photograph format 

  • Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)  
  • Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb 

Signature format 

  • Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred) 
  • Size of file should be between 10kb- 20kb 

Step 3: Filling the application form 

  • The application page has three tabs, basic, qualification/experience/language, and survey
  • Under the basic tab, candidates need to enter the category, religion, nationality, and disability information
  • Enter IBPS RRB exam centre with the correct state code
  • Enter personal details such as gender, father’s name, mother’s name, etc
  • Communication details such as correspondence address, permanent address with pin code, and state 
  • Under the qualification/experience/language tab, enter the details of graduation such as subject, type of degree, year of passing, and percentage obtained.
  • Enter the present and previous work experiences 
  • Enter proficiency in languages, states, and preferred RRBs
  • Under the survey tab, candidates need to mention the choice of organisations where they desire to be recruited
  • Preview the details mentioned in the form
  • After filling the details, click on ‘I agree’ to declare that the information entered in the form is authentic and correct

Step 5: Uploading Left Thumb Impression and Handwritten declaration

Before proceeding towards paying the application fees, candidates need to upload their left thumb impression and handwritten declaration in the following format.

Left Thumb Impression

  • Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels 
  • File Size: 20 KB- 50 KB

Handwritten Declaration

Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels

File Size: 50 KB-100 KB

Step 4: Fee Payment 

Candidates have to pay the application fee through online mode through debit card, credit card, IMPS, net banking, cash cards/mobile wallets. The details of fee payment are given below.

  • In case of debit card, they need to enter the card number, expiry date, and CVV number
  • In case of credit card, enter card number and PIN
  • If candidates choose net banking, then they need to enter the bank details asked
  • For IMPS, add beneficiary by mentioning account details of the organization to which candidates desire to transfer the money
  • If candidates wish to pay the fee through mobile wallets/cash cards, enter the login details asked
  • After entering and verifying the details, click on the pay

Editing of the IBPS RRB application form is not allowed after final submission. Prior to submission of the online application, candidates are advised to use the 'save and next' facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Candidates need to fill the application form online only. Candidates are not required to sent the hard copy of their application forms to the examination authority.

IBPS RRB Application Form 2025: New Guidelines Related to Photo Upload

In addition to the scanned photograph, candidates are also required to capture and upload their photograph either by using webcam or their mobile phone. The guidelines for uploading photograph are given below:

  • Applicants on selecting 'Capture Photo' option, webcam is activated allowing them to take their picture, which that will be auto uploaded in the application form
  • On selecting the option 'Click here to Scan”, candidates can use their mobile phone to scan the QR code, which will redirect to a website, allowing to take photograph on their mobile phone
  • On selecting the taken picture, photograph is auto uploaded in the IBPS RRB application form

The dimensions and specifications related to the photograph for IBPS RRB application form are given below:

  • Photograph must be a recent passport style colour picture
  • Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, background
  • Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face

the data is saved, a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the
screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional registration number and password. An Email & SMS indicating
the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. They can reopen the saved data using Provisional
registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed. Once the application is filled in completely,
candidate should submit the data.

Q:   What are the dos'related to photo capture in IBPS RRB application form?

  • Ensure that the photo is captured against a background and there is adequate light

By submitting the IBPS RRB handwritten declaration, candidates declare that the information provided in the application form is correct and valid. The text for the handwritten declaration is given below.

“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” 

The above-mentioned handwritten declaration has to be in the candidate’s handwriting and in English only.

IBPS RRB eligibility criteria is prescribed by the examination authority separately for different posts. The basic educational qualification for IBPS RRB exam is graduation. However, the educational qualification vary post-wise. The post-wise age limit for IBPS RRB exam is given below:

For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years-Below 40 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1983 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)

Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager)

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions

The prelims exam of IBPS RRB is conducted at more than 170 cities while theMainsexam is conducted at more than 70 cities. The exam of IBPS RRB is conducted in various venues across many centres in India.  No request for change of centre for examination is entertained. IBPS, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. IBPS also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for and a candidate may be allocated a centre of exam outside the State/UT for which vacancies he/she is applying. Candidate will appear for the examination at an Examination Centre at his/her own risk and expenses and IBPS will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature. Any unruly behaviour/misbehaviour in the examination hall may result in cancellation of candidature/ disqualification from the exam and also from the future exams conducted by IBPS.

  • Online applications once registered will not be allowed to be withdrawn and/or the application fee/ intimation charges once paid will not be refunded nor be held in reserve for any other examination
  • Any request for change of address, details mentioned in the online application form will not be entertained
  • A recent, recognizable photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm) should be uploaded by the candidate in the online application form and the candidate should ensure that copies of the same are retained for use at various stages of the process
  • The photograph/ signature/ left thumb impression/ hand written declaration/certificate should not be smudged or blurred
  • The hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only
