RRB ALP Vacancies 2025 (OUT): Check Zone-Wise 9,970 vacancies

RRB ALP Vacancies 2025: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced RRB Technician 2025 vacancies. A total of 6180 vacancies have been announced in 51 categories. Out of the total vacancies, 180 are for Technician Grade 1, and 6000 are for Technician Grade 3. A total of 9,970 vacancies were announced for the Assistant Loco Pilot 2025 position. RRB ALP vacancies were announced category-wise and post-wise for different railway zones. Candidates can fill their application forms for RRB ALP 2025 after checking the vacancies. RRB ALP 2024 Vacancies

RRB ALP 2024 vacancies were revised to 14298 after adding 22 new categories. RRB ALP vacancies were revised after receiving demands from Zonal Railways. Out of which, 1092 are for Technician (Grade 1 Signal) and 8051 are for Technician Grade 3. Earlier, a total of 9144 vacancies were announced for Technician posts.

RRBs had revised the RRB ALP vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot posts earlier. The number of vacancies was revised to 18799. Earlier, the vacancies announced for RRB ALP exam were 5696. This means, RRBs increased RRB ALP vacancies more than three times. Opportunity were given to candidates to revise their choice of RRBs once the category-wise vacancies are published. RRB ALP vacancies were announced category-wise and post-wise for different railway zones.

Q: How can I become ALP in railway?

Candidates from all streams can become a loco pilot after completing Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT/Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the prescribed trades/3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical /Electronics / Automobile Engineering/Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of IT.

Q: Is CBAT mandatory for all posts in RRB ALP?

In RRB ALP & Technician exam, only those who have applied for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and cleared second stage of, need to appear for CBAT. CBAT is for the candidates who have applied for technician post only. Candidates equal to eight times the number of ALP vacancies are called for CBAT based on the performance in Part A of second stage CBT, subject to qualifying the Part B. Candidates are required to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT. The questions in CBAT are in English and Hindi only. There is no negative marking in CBAT. To draw the merit list of ALP, 70 per cent weightage is given to Part A of second stage CBT and 30 per cent in CBAT.
