RRB ALP Application Form 2025-26: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) extended the RRB Technician application form filling deadline. The application deadline has been extended till August 7, 2025. The last date of fee payment for RRB ALP 2025 is August 9, 2025. The Railway ALP registration form correction window will be available from August 10 to 19, 2025.
RRB Technician registration form was released on June 28, 2025, to fill up a total of 6180 vacancies. RRB ALP application form 2025 was available from April 12 to May 19, 2025, to fill up a total of 9970 vacancies.
The application form for RRB ALP exam was INR 250 for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC) categories, while it was INR 500 for other categories. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories get the full refund of the application fee once they appear for the CBT 1 exam. How to Fill RRB ALP Application Form 2025-26?
The steps to fill RRB ALP online form are given below:
RRB ALP Registration
- Visit the respective official websites of RRBs
- Click the 'RRB ALP Apply Online' link on the home page
- Candidates need to confirm that they have read and understood the instructions carefully by clicking the check box
- Complete registration process by entering your name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar number, state, community, SSLC/Matric roll number, year of passing SSLC/Matric, mobile number, and email-id
- Before submitting the registration form, candidates should ensure and confirm that all the information provided is correct and then submit it
- On submitting the registration form, the registration number and password are displayed. Also, one-time Password (OTPs) are sent to the registered mobile number and email ID along with the registration details
- Candidates should retrieve the OTPs from the email and mobile and then login to proceed with filling the application form and make payment

Filling Part I of RRB ALP Application Form
- In Part I of the RRB ALP application page, candidates need to enter educational qualification, community, gender, religion, ExSM, PWD, minority, economically backward class, age relaxation eligibility category as applicable and other details
- On completion of the application details, candidates are redirected to the payment page
- Choose the payment mode-net banking/credit card/debit card/bank branch for challan/post office challan and complete the payment process
- In case of online payment, candidates will be automatically directed to Part II of the application for filling up additional details. Candidates paying the application fees through offline mode, the payment confirmation may take about an hour, and hence they can login after 60 minutes and look for confirmation of payment status. Payment confirmation may vary from 24 hours to 48 hours for post office payments. On getting the confirmation status, candidates can start filling Part II of the application form.

- Candidates eligible for examination fee refund who have chosen payment through SBI Challan or Post office Challan should provide the details of beneficiary account in which they would like to receive the refund viz. beneficiary name, bank name, account number and IFSC Code in the online application
Filling Part II of Online Form
In Part II of the application form, candidates need to enter the following details:
Scribe (Applicable to eligible PWD Candidates only)
Provide details of scribe duly uploading his/her passport size photograph. Furnishing of information of scribe is mandatory. Change of scribe at the exam venue is generally not permitted. However, under exceptional circumstances, the change may be allowed duly recording reasons and filling the relevant details, including photographs of the scribe.
Detailed educational qualification
Furnish all the relevant information on the qualification as required in the RRB ALP application. Further, candidates having Diploma / Degree qualification have to select the trade from the drop-down list for appearing in the qualifying Part B test of Second Stage CBT. Also, fill in other details related to qualification.
Choice of exam language for First and Second stage CBT
English is the default language. In case the candidate wishes to choose any other language, then the same can be selected in addition from the drop-down list of languages in the application. In case of any difference between English and the opted language, the content of the English version shall prevail. Complete the balance fields e.g. mother tongue, address etc.
Uploading of colour photograph
Select the upload photo tab and upload the colour photograph. The photograph should be in the size of 35mmX45mm with the name and date printed on it. It should be in JPG/JPEG format. The file size of the photograph should be between 15-40 kb. Candidates are advised to keep at least 12 copies of the same photograph for further use as and when required during the recruitment process.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST have to upload scanned copies of their SC/ST certificates (JPG/JPEG format, 50kb-100kb) also for availing the facility of free travel authority (Second class railway pass)
- Candidates may give their consent for sharing the scores obtained by them in RRB exams with other Ministries/Departments/PSUs and Private organizations, for recruitment in their organizations
- In the end, candidates have to confirm the declaration “I hereby declare that I have gone through the eligibility criteria for the post (s) applied for and meet all the requirements therein, that all the details furnished by me in the application are true and complete to the best of my knowledge & belief and nothing has been concealed or suppressed. I also understand that in case any of the details furnished is found untrue during any stage of recruitment or thereafter Railway Administration shall disqualify me for the post (s) applied for and /or I shall be liable for any other action under the extant rules”
- After confirming the above declaration and submission of the application, the entire application will be displayed for confirmation once again and on the confirmation, the candidate will be able to take the printout of the application and preserve it for reference and record

Approximately, 47.45 Lacs candidates applied for RRB ALP exam. The application process of RRB ALP was completely online. Candidates were not required to send the hard copy of their application forms. The application fees were accepted both online and offline.
Online applications are rejected due to the following reasons:
- Invalid photos
- Multiple applications to different RRBs or same RRB
- Candidate's name figuring in the debarred list of any RRB/RRC
- Any other irregularities which are observed and considered as invalid by RRB
In case candidates want to edit the details filled in the 'Create an Account' form (Including mobile number and email ID), they need to pay a modification fee of INR 250. Each time they make any changes in the application, the required fees needs to be paid. Details filled in ‘Create an Account’ form (including mobile number and Email ID) cannot be changed. The modification fee is to be paid by all candidates irrespective of community and category. In case candidates wants to modify their communities from SC/ST to UR or OBC or EWS, they need to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee or else the modified application is not accepted. Similarly, if a candidate is switching from Ex.SM to UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS/Non Ex.SM etc., they need to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee. Modifications in the application form is allowed any number of times subject to payment of the modification fee.

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) released notification for RRB ALP 2025-26 recruitment. A total of 9970 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment process. The exam is conducted for candidates in the age group of 18 to 30 years and who have completed Class 10/SSLC. The recruitment is done for the post of Assistant Loco Pilots and Technicians. This year, the age limit for ALP post has been revised. Earlier, the age limit for ALP was 18 to 28 years. The revised age limit is 18 to 30 years.
RRB conducts RRB ALP & Technician exam to fill posts of assistant loco pilot and technicians for different railway zones across the country. A total of 9970 vacancies have been announced for RRB ALP 2025 exam (CEN 01/2025). In 2018, a total of 64,371 vacancies were announced for the exam.
