RRB ALP application form 2022 will be released online by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). The application fee can be paid both online and offline. RRB ALP application fee is INR 500 for General and OBC categories while it is INR 250 for SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/Female/Transgender/Minorities/Economically backward class. The application fee will be refunded to candidates after appearing in the first stage CBT. Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories will get a partial refund of the application fee while SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/ Female/Transgender/Minorities/Economically backward class will get a full refund of the application form. The steps to fill RRB ALP application form are given below:
RRB ALP Registration
- Visit the respective official websites of RRBs
- Click the 'Apply Online' link on the home page
- Candidates need to confirm that they have read and understood the instructions carefully by clicking the check box
- Complete registration process by entering your name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar number, state, community, SSLC/Matric roll number, year of passing SSLC/Matric, mobile number, and email-id
- Before submitting the registration form, candidates should ensure and confirm that all the information provided is correct and then submit it
- On submitting the registration form, the registration number and password are displayed. Also, One Time Password (OTPs) is also sent to the registered mobile number and email ID along with the registration details
- Candidates should retrieve the OTPs from the email and mobile and then login to proceed with filling the application form and make payment
Filling Part I of RRB ALP Application Form
- In Part I of the RRB ALP application page, candidates need to enter educational qualification, community, gender, religion, ExSM, PWD, minority, economically backward class, age relaxation eligibility category as applicable and other details
- On completion of the application details, candidates are redirected to the payment page
- Choose the payment mode-net banking/credit card/debit card/bank branch for challan/post office challan and complete the payment process
- In case of online payment, candidates will be automatically directed to Part II of the application for filling up additional details. Candidates paying the application fees through offline mode, the payment confirmation may take about an hour and hence they can login after 60 minutes and look for confirmation of payment status. The payment confirmation may vary from 24 hours to 48 hours in case of post office payment. On getting the confirmation status, candidates can start filling Part II of the application form.

- Candidates eligible for examination fee refund who have chosen payment through SBI Challan or Post office Challan should provide the details of beneficiary account in which they would like to receive the refund viz. beneficiary name, bank name, account number and IFSC Code in the online application
Filling Part II of RRB ALP Application Form
In Part II of RRB ALP application form, candidates need to enter the following details:
Scribe (Applicable to eligible PWD Candidates only)
Provide details of scribe duly uploading his/her passport size photograph. Furnishing of information of scribe is mandatory. Change of scribe at the exam venue is generally not permitted. However, under exceptional circumstances, the change may be allowed duly recording reasons and filling the relevant details, including photographs of the scribe.
Detailed educational qualification
Furnish all the relevant information on the qualification as required in the RRB ALP application. Further, candidates having Diploma / Degree qualification have to select the trade from the drop-down list for appearing in the qualifying Part B test of Second Stage CBT. Also, fill in other details related to qualification.
Choice of exam language for First and Second stage CBT
English is the default language. In case the candidate wishes to choose any other language, then the same can be selected in addition from the drop-down list of languages in the application. In case of any difference between English and the opted language, the content of the English version shall prevail.
Complete the balance fields e.g. mother tongue, address etc.
Uploading of colour photograph
Select the upload photo tab and upload the colour photograph. The photograph should be in the size of 35mmX45mm with the name and date printed on it. It should be in JPG/JPEG format. The file size of the photograph should be between 15-40 kb. Candidates are advised to keep at least 12 copies of the same photograph for further use as and when required during the recruitment process.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST have to upload scanned copies of their SC/ST certificates (JPG/JPEG format, 50kb-100kb) also for availing the facility of free travel authority (Second class railway pass)
- Candidates may give their consent for sharing the scores obtained by them in RRB exams with other Ministries/Departments/PSUs and Private organizations, for recruitment in their organizations
- In the end, candidates have to confirm the declaration “I hereby declare that I have gone through the eligibility criteria for the post (s) applied for and meet all the requirements therein, that all the details furnished by me in the application are true and complete to the best of my knowledge & belief and nothing has been concealed or suppressed. I also understand that in case, any of the details furnished is found untrue during any stage of recruitment or thereafter Railway Administration shall disqualify me for the post (s) applied for and /or I shall be liable for any other action under the extant rules”
- After confirming the above declaration and submission of the application, the entire application will be displayed for confirmation once again and on the confirmation, the candidate will be able to take the print of the application and preserve it for reference and record
RRB ALP Application Modification
Candidates can modify their RRB ALP application form after final submission by paying the modification fee of INR 250 (Non-Refundable). This facility can be availed only twice. Find the steps below:
- Go to the RRB ALP and Technician “ONLINE/E-Application” link on respective RRB websites
- Find the link for ‘Modify Application’ link, click on it
- A page will open for login, login using registration number and password
- Pay modification fee of Rs 250 online or offline
- After successful payment, login using Registration Number and Password again
- Proceed to modify the application form as required and submit the application
RRB ALP Invalid Applications/Rejections
Online applications are rejected due to the following reasons:
- Invalid photos
- Multiple applications to different RRBs or same RRB
- Candidate's name figuring in the debarred list of any RRB/RRC
- Any other irregularities which are observed and considered as invalid by RRB
RRB ALP Application Form Status
RRB ALP application form status is released after completion of the application process. To check the application status, candidates need to login with user ID and password. In case of application is rejected, candidates can view their status along with the reasons for rejection. No refund of exam fee will be made on account of rejection of application.
