RRB ALP Application Form 2026: Check Steps to Apply Online

In case candidates want to edit the details filled in the 'Create an Account' form (Including mobile number and email ID), they need to pay a modification fee of INR 250. Each time they make any changes in the application, the required fees needs to be paid. Details filled in ‘Create an Account’ form (including mobile number and Email ID) cannot be changed. The modification fee is to be paid by all candidates irrespective of community and category. In case candidates wants to modify their communities from SC/ST to UR or OBC or EWS, they need to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee or else the modified application is not accepted. Similarly, if a candidate is switching from Ex.SM to UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS/Non Ex.SM etc., they need to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee. Modifications in the application form is allowed any number of times subject to payment of the modification fee.

Approximately, 47.45 Lacs candidates applied for RRB ALP exam. The application process of RRB ALP was completely online. Candidates were not required to send the hard copy of their application forms. The application fees were accepted both online and offline.

RRB ALP application form status is released after completion of the application process. To check the application status, candidates need to login with user ID and password. Admit cards are issued to those whose applications are accepted for the exam.

RRB ALP application fee is INR 500 for General and OBC categories while it is INR 250 for SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/Female/Transgender/Minorities/Economically backward class. The application fee will be refunded to candidates after appearing in the first stage CBT. Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories will get a partial refund of the application fee while SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/ Female/Transgender/Minorities/Economically backward class will get a full refund of the application form

Candidates who applied for RRB ALP exam required to verify Aadhaar Card. This is one time process that is automatically valid for all current and future job notifications and applications within RRBs. Completing Aadhar Verification ensure smooth entry to examination centers and streamline post exam process for applicants.

Candidates for RRB ALP exam should between 18 to 30 years. They must have passed Class 10. The application form needs to be filled online only. Candidates must check the eligibility before applying.

RRB conducts RRB ALP & Technician exam to fill posts of assistant loco pilot and technicians for different railway zones across the country. A total of 9970 vacancies have been announced for RRB ALP 2025 exam (CEN 01/2025). In 2018, a total of 64,371 vacancies were announced for the exam. Out of these vacancies, 27,795 vacancies were for Assistant loco pilot and 36,576 were for Technicians

The process to fill the registration form of RRB ALP are click Apply link. Register for the exam. Fill the application form and pay the fees. The application fee can be paid online.

Candidates can modify their RRB ALP application form after final submission by paying the modification fee of INR 250 (Non-Refundable). This facility can be availed only twice. Find the steps below:

1. Go to the RRB ALP and Technician “ONLINE/E-Application” link on respective RRB websites
2. Find the link for ‘Modify Application’ link, click on it
3. A page will open for login, login using registration number and password
4. Pay modification fee of Rs 250 online or offline
5. After successful payment, login using Registration Number and Password again
6. Proceed to modify the application form as required and submit the application

To fill RRB ALP application form Visit website of RRBs, Click on RRB ALP notification, Register yourself for exam with required personal details, Fill your basic details, for example, your name, your parent’s name, contact information, mail-id etc. After clicking on the submit button, you will receive an OTP. After the OTP is validated, fill the detailed application for. Pay required application fee, Save copy of RRB ALP application form

A colour photograph of size 3.5cm x 3.5cm (not older than three months from the date of application) with clear front view of the candidate without cap and sunglasses should be uploaded. The photo should be only in JPEG format. Candidates are advised to bring one copy of the same photograph along with Hall Ticket/e–Call Letter and original valid Photo ID at the time of examination. They are also advised to keep three copies of the same photographs for further use.

Online applications are rejected due to the following reasons:

• Invalid photos 
• Multiple applications to different RRBs or same RRB
• Candidate's name figuring in the debarred list of any RRB/RRC
• Any other irregularities which are observed and considered as invalid by RRB

Candidates need to login with the required credentials to fill the RRB ALP detailed application form. Online applications are accepted for the exam. The application fee can be paid online. The login ID can be used in downloading admit card, 

Aadhaar validation is required for smoother process at different stages of recruitment for the candidates themselves. Further, to ensure genuineness of candidature and to curb impersonation during exam. RRBs will not share Aadhaar details with any third party or use them for any purpose other than the objectives of this CEN

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe who have given consent for availing free travel facility only can avail 'Free Travel Authority' (free Railway Pass).

Click on the 'Forgot Password' option at 'Sign into Your Account' of login page. Enter either Aadhaar number or registered email/mobile number and date of birth. The revised password will be sent to the candidate's registered email ID only. Candidates have to login with revised password sent on their registered email.
