Q: What is RRB ALP marking scheme?
CBT 1 will have 75 questions for 75 marks and the duration granted to resolve the questions is 60 minutes. 1/3rd ? marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBT 1. The CBT 2 will have two parts- Part A and B for 175 marks. 1/3rd? marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBT 2. The marks of candidates are calculated based on the correct and incorrect answers. Normalisation of marks is done to calculate the scores of candidates.

Different Stages of RRB ALP Cut off
The different stages of RRB ALP cut off are given below:
RRB ALP Stage 1 Cut off
RRB ALP Stage 1 cut off is calculated out of 75 marks. Based on RRB ALP stage 1 cut off, candidates 15 times the number of vacancies are selected for the second stage of exam.
RRB ALP Stage 2 Cut off
The second stage exam consists of two parts- A and B. The cut off of Part A is determined out of 100 marks while that for Part B is calculated out of 75. Applicants need to qualify for both parts but the selection of candidates for the next round will be done on the basis of the cut-off marks of Part A of the second stage.
RRB ALP CBAT Cut off
The qualifying cut-off of CBAT is 42 marks, the same for all categories. The final merit list for ALP posts is prepared by taking into account the 70 per cent weightage to Part A of the second stage and 30 per cent to the CBAT.

Yes, RRB ALP & Technician result is released separately for different stages. The result for each stage is announced online on the official website in PDF form. The result PDF displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The steps to download RRB ALP result are given below:
- Visit the respective regional website of RRBs
- Click on the "Results" tab
- Click on the results link for RRB ALP and Technicians. Following that, the result will be downloaded automatically in the PDF format.
- The PDF will contain roll number of all shortlisted candidates, search your roll number in the PDF.

Candidates from all streams can become a loco pilot after completing Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT/Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the prescribed trades/3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical /Electronics / Automobile Engineering/Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of IT.
Q: What is the pattern of question papers in RRB ALP?
In first two CBTs questions will come in MCQ format. The third stage is CBAT, where candidates will be given five test batteries. The CBT carries 75 objective-type multiple-choice questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence, and Reasoning, General Science and General awareness on current affairs. The test carries a total of 75 marks. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. The standard of questions in first stage CBT is framed as per the educational qualification prescribed for the posts. The pattern for second stage is divided into parts-A and B. Part A of the second stage CBT comprises 100 objective-type questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering and General Awareness on Current Affairs. Part B carries questions based on the candidate's discipline.
