RRB ALP CBT 2 exam centre will be allotted to candidates in the chosen RRB. This means, if someone has applied under RRB Bangalore, he/she will be allotted test centres for CBT 2 in Bangalore only. The examination authority releases the city intimation slip 10 days prior the exam so that candidates can arrange their travels accordingly.

This facility is available only to SC/ST candidates. While filling up ONLINE application, such candidates,  should choose 'Yes' from the drop down under 'Do you wish to avail free rail travel pass for the exam and fill up 'the nearest Railway Station'. It is the responsibility of the candidates availing free travel authority to give the correct name of the Railway Station in online application, failing which their travel authority may get rejected while obtaining reservation. They are also required to upload their Caste Certificate.

RRB ALP city intimation slip comprises the details related to the exam. RRB ALP city intimation slip is released 10 days before the exam. In first two CBTs questions will come in MCQ format. The third stage is CBAT, where candidates will be given five test batteries. The CBT carries 75 objective-type multiple-choice questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence, and Reasoning, General Science and General awareness on current affairs. The test carries a total of 75 marks. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. The standard of questions in first stage CBT is framed as per the educational qualification prescribed for the posts. The pattern for second stage is divided into parts-A and B. Part A of the second stage CBT comprises 100 objective-type questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering and General Awareness on Current Affairs. Part B carries questions based on the candidate's discipline.

There are chances that candidates are allotted exam cities outside the ones chosen by them. It is mandatory to carry Aadhaar Card for RRB ALP exam besides the required photo-identity proofs. Without the Aadhaar Card candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam.  Candidates should also take the printed copy of RRB ALP admit card.

Candidates are not allowed to carry calculators for RRB ALP exam. The list of items that are not allowed inside the exam centre is mentioned in the admit card. Candidates need to carry their admit cards along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre.
