UPTET Preparation Tips 2025: The UP Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) will conduct the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2025 exam and the notification will be released soon. Qualifying for the exam becomes easy with the right preparation strategy such as know the pattern of an exam and syllabus, knowing the right study materials and chalking out an effective study plan. Here are a few preparation tips that will help you to do well in the exam.

UPTET or the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is a state-level exam conducted once a year that makes candidates to gain eligibility for Primary (Classes 1 to 5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6-8) level teachers in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The UPTET exam is conducted in two shifts for two papers - Papers 1 and 2. UPTET Paper 1 is conducted for candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 1-5. On the other hand, UPTET Paper 2 is for candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 6-8.

Q:   Is there any sectional time limit in the UPTET exam?
A: 

No, there is no sectional time limit in the UPTET examination. Candidates have to complete the whole paper in two hours and thirty minutes. That is, candidates can solve any question in the paper but the total time to finish the exam is 2.5 hours.

UPTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025

Being well-versed with the UPTET exam pattern and UPTET syllabus is the first and most important step towards the strategy of preparation.

The UPTET exam is held for two papers – Paper 1 (primary level) and Paper 2 (upper-primary level). UPTET paper for primary and upper-primary levels contains questions from the following subjects/sections:

In UPTET Paper 2, the first three sections contain 30 questions for 30 marks each. However, the last section contains 60 questions for 60 marks. There is a total of 150 questions for 150 marks in the exam.
