UPTET or the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is a state-level exam conducted once a year that enables candidates to gain eligibility for Primary (Classes 1 to 5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6-8) level teachers in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The UPTET exam is conducted in two shifts for two papers - Papers 1 and 2. UPTET Paper 1 is conducted for candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 1-5. On the other hand, UPTET Paper 2 is for candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 6-8.

UPTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025
Being well-versed with the UPTET exam pattern and UPTET syllabus is the first and most important step towards effective exam preparation. The UPTET exam is held for two papers – Paper 1 (primary level) and Paper 2 (upper-primary level).
