After the CLAT 2025 Revised Result, Round 1 seat allotment has been released by RMLNU Lucknow. Aspirants would have to decide whether they want to accept, revise or withdraw from the seat allotment process before the final date for the new counselling registration round gets over. Those who want an upgrade will be required to pay a confirmation fee to secure their seat at the institution.

The CLAT 2025 admission process, which is completely online, will be concluded after 5 rounds. The process included registration, merit list result and then the seat allotment process according to candidates' preferences. Candidates have the choice to either accept, upgrade or exit from their assigned seat at any counselling rounds. For those who accept their assigned seat, they can then pay the counselling and admission fee as needed to complete their admission process.

To get admission to NLU Lucknow, candidates must go through a multi-step selection process. For admission to UG & PG courses such as BA LLB and LLM, candidates must apply and qualify for CLAT exam. Further, for admission to PhD course, the university conducts RMNLU Writtent Test. After the commencement of all the selection rounds, candidates are notified through merit list. RMLNLU admission to B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and Master of Law (LL.M.) is based on CLAT scores followed by the CLAT Counselling. Candidates with a valid CLAT scores are eligible for RMNLU admissions. The total intake for the LLM programme in RMLNLU is 31 seats. The apportioning of the seat total would ideally be so made as to leave room for accommodating different categories for admission to the University. This will be a purely merit-based admission through the CLAT PG exam, followed by counseling. In this manner, RMLNLU can continue to serve as a hub of competitive yet comradely fellow students of the future legal persons who will be trained to undertake different responsibilities in the fields of law.

Admission to the LLM programme at RMLNLU are currently closed. Applications are accepted based on the CLAT PG scores. The CLAT PG test was held on December 7, 2025. Candidates seeking admission through the CLAT PG test have to satisfy the eligibility in terms of admission, where candidates must have an undergraduate law degree with at least an aggregate of 50%.
